Dr. Kumar is wonderful. She is knowledgeable, kind, and gentle. Her eye shots do not hurt at all. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has eye problems.

I was visiting in Florida and I recognized that I was experiencing symptoms of a retinal tear. I called the Florida Retinal Institute explaining my situation. The individual who answered the phone immediately told me that she would find a physician to see me that day. She scheduled an appointment for me with Dr. Jaya Kumar. The appointment was within 2 hours of when I initially called. I arrived at the appointment and everyone who I came in contact with was exceptionally professional, polite and demonstrated caring for me and everyone that I saw staff interact with. Dr. Jaya was positive, professional, caring and educated me on what had occurred and what the treatment would be. I received the necessary treatment from Dr. Jaya and was checked out within two hours. I called the next day with questions and the nurse returned my call and answered all my questions with a positive caring attitude. I wish Dr. Jaya was located in Iowa so I could recommend her to my patients.

The staff scheduled a next day appointment with Dr Kumar when an exam by our Opthalmologist identified a significant problem. From the time we arrived for the appointment until we left, the staff was efficient and professional. Dr. Kumar explained everything thoroughly and addressed all of the questions we had. We are so appreciative of the care and concern from everyone. Thanks to everyone for making a stressful time in our lives less so.

I have seen Dr Kumar only once I was very impressed. Unlike my last specialist she shook my hand and introduced herself. She showed me pictures of my eyes and explained everything. She really put me at ease. Iam glad I was sent to her.
