MIchael Bougoulias's Online Review Report Card

Saw doc this morning and called to check if scripts ready and they still have not sent them. He decided I’m suffering from a migraine, I can barely talk or open my eyes my head hurts so bad. I’ve been waiting on hold for a total of 42 minutes to try to tell them my scripts haven’t been sent! I’m miserable. This is ridiculous.

He is very nice, one of the best doctor my wife and me ever had. The office is very clean, fresh and bright. The location by I-4 is easy to drive there without any traffic concerns. And there are plenty of parking spaces that you will complete your visit with a pleasant day.

Had my first well visit there today . I waited 2 months to see Dr B and when I got there they put me with the nurse practitioner., who as far as I’m concerned had no bedside manner. I’m very upset for my first visit to meet the Dr. and that’s what they did. My medical records that were sent 2 months prior were not in there system either! What a horrible experience!Sorry to say I am not returning back there. As far as Dr. B I have no clue what he is like to let anyone know 😒I’m done !

I had been going to Dr. Bougoulias since 2015. Visits had been great until this year. I visited the location 9.25.17 with severe migraine and back pain, could barely move. They told me the sent the meds to the pharmacy, anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxer. Afyer a few hrs of no call from pharmacy I called them and they stated they never received the prescription. Called the dr. They said they were sending it over, the second time still nothing. Went back to the drs office with my husband, they told ua it couldve waited til the next day since they were closing. Thankfully I requested a copy of the prescription, went to the pharmacy and they had only sent the prescription for the antiinflamatory, did not send for mucle relaxer. Now in Dec, they dared send me an invoice that stated it was for emotional support, drs visit ( which was paid on 9.25), and an ekg that never happened- i was there for migrane and back pain!!! Called the manager and billing and they were so rude, did not let me finish explaning the situation, didn't want to hear me said she needed to speak with the doctor. I called back on the week of 9.25.17 to complain about the prescription situation and never got a call back!!! Changed drs after that visit who actually helped me with my migraine and back pain, didn't just prescribe pills (which almost didn't get to the pharmacy anyways). Now just waiting for manager to call, bet I will never get a call back as usual.

I had been with Doctor B for many years. He is a fantastic doctor, both in general practice, and for diabetic health. There is not a single thing about him, his mannerisms, or his professionalism, I would want to change.Unfortunately, since we patients have far more contact with his office staff, due to clerical errors, non responses to messages, and various other problems, (not including silly things such as having to wait on hold for long periods of time which is par for the course), the office staff drags his score down from a solid 5 stars to only 2.Before 2020, it would have been 4-5 stars, but then they started switching over to Orlando Health's new patient portal. That made things far, far worse. They don't actually use the portal. They don't respond to messages there, they have you sign more documents after you spend a lengthy. Filling them all in inside the portal, they don't read messages therein and in my case finally did several weeks later during a lengthy phone call with me. My records appeared to be in disarray now (still almost entirely in the old system). I couldn't get a prescription for needed insulin sent in for over two weeks, and then it was sent in wrong twice, and I literally I was so mad, sad, and frustrated, I hung up as they recited the wrong prescription to me yet again over the phone during my final contact. The final prescription was still so wrong, it cost almost as much as paying out of pocket for a much lesser not-enough amount (the now-Infamous, 50 + 50 does not equal 64 situation).If Doctor B had several clones of himself running the office, it would be the perfect doctor's office. But that is obviously silly. I have been overly kind, did not inundate them (ever) with phone calls (to a fault)even when it took two and a half weeks to ALMOST get a prescription sent in, and still can't get the glucose device after three weeks, and was forced to pay a charge that they zeroed out a year ago.The office is simply very poorly run, and I'm tired of making excuses to my family members who I have told frequently that I bet they are overwhelmed with work and that Covid probably made it worse. My excuses for them are now done. I'm sick and tired of feeling like a nuisance.I now have to look forward to the fact that if my disability is ever questioned in the future by Social Security, my records are probably now lost, or will possibly not be able to be found to corroborate the fact that I actually am disabled. All because of office workers, not the awesome doctor.I thank Dr. Bougoulias for the time he has spent helping me the last several years. I will take my 500-plus blood sugar and move on, apparently.

Extraordinarily long hold times when you call this office. Dr. Bougoulias is a very good Dr. but in the mornings it is very common to be on hold for over an hour just to amend an appt. or anything. Why do we have to put up with this just to have a Dr. I like? You need repeated calls for referrals or to get anything done. Why can't they hire more people? Why have people hold for hours on the phone? No respect for patients's time.

Dr. B is great, but his staff is the worst!!! They could care less about the healthcare you receive. It’s a shame to have such a good Doctor working with people who don’t want to do their job!

Dr Bougoulias is an excellent doctor!! He takes his time to make sure that I’m completely satisfied with the visit.

I just called to try and make my first appointment and spoke with Lisa. She sounded like she was annoyed when I asked a general question I had and didn't want to be there and actually hung up on me! I'm already having anxiety issues and should not have to deal with someone like that. She just chased away a new patient for the doctor.

The best Doctor care you will ever get from Doctor Bougoulias and Jennifer. Unfortunately i had to relocate to a different location bc i love in Lake county but i have had Dr. B for 30 years.
