Without Dr. Howard my husband would literally have not survived on more than one occasion. His expertise lies not only in medicine, but in plain simple one on one humanity. All Dr's should be Dr. Howard. Kind, and compassionate ..that's him.

Doctor Fred Howard, general surgeon, is located at Wound Care Center. He is very approachable with very good bedside manner. I highly recommend him to anyone tired of arrogant doctors, place your trust in Doctor Howard. Doctor Howard, before becoming a doctor, was a pitcher for the Chicago Whitesox. Born in Portland, ME

Dr. Howard communicates extremely well and respectfully. He explained to me exactly what the problem was and how he would treat it. I never felt rushed and he always took time to answer my questions.

I have been dealing with a recurring wound for years and not only has Dr. Howard been the best at treating it... he has made me smile in a bad situation... and there are not many Doctors who can do that. Definitely worth going to see him.

Needed hernia surgery. He saw what I needed immediately. What a super guy and surgeon. He is the best. Great personality. Knows what he's doing. None better

After gallbladder removal, my father was left with a bile duct leak. Even though Dr. Howard knew there was a leak, he failed to have my father transferred to a hospital with the necessary equipment to repair the leak. After four days, we were able to get him moved to Orlando. Unfortunately it was too late, and sepsis developed, ending my father’s life.

This man saved my life. I was bitten by a spider and really had no idea I had been bit. Un willing I went to see him one morning forced by my wife, and he said I needed something done NOW not tomorrow first thing. He said the hospital is right back there and I will be there in a half hour to do surgery. And he was and did the surgery in fact a few of them as I went into a coma for 20 some days. Even though the odds me making it were very slim he continued to do everything possible . The fact that I can be here to write the review is beyond amazing let alone that I have no issues with any thing from this surgery at all. God Bless the fact that we have this much talent and a person who truly cares in Polk county. He is the man!!!
