List of Prashant J. Desai's Reviews
Dr. Desai has been wonderful in helping me with my knees. I have osteoarthritis in both. He did the cortisone injections along with Euflexxa injections to prolong knee replacement. He did a partial knee replacement 3 years ago and it's doing great! My other knee is bad and will get it done when nothing else works. I trust his judgement. I also appreciate his nurses with helping me get in when needed and making sure insurance is being covered with procedures.
Dr Desai has been a life saver for me. I had spent years with what I'd been told was arthritis in my shoulder. I finally went to him hearing something can be done about that now. Turns out it was two torn tendons as well as bursitis. Dr Desai did such a great job fixing it, I went from being in constant pain to full movement and NO pain by the time PT as complete. So I went back to him for the arthritis in my knees. With the 1st one done less than three weeks ago, I'm taking walks up to 3/4 mile right now. What really surprised me was that I was walking without the walker as soon as I got home from surgery. Even going down and getting the mail without assistance. I didn't think that was supposed to be possible. I did my part with biking before surgery and doing all my PT after. He's certainly doing his part as an excellent surgeon. I have full confidence in knee #2 coming out as well as knee # 1. I highly recommend Dr Desai for anyone needing an orthopedic surgeon
Dr. Desai is an incredible orthopedic surgeon. I have been a patient of three other orthopedic surgeons in the past and none of them have the qualities of Dr. Desai. He has great skills and a wonderful bedside manner. He takes time with me and answers all of my questions. His office staff, nurses, and physician's assistant are also great.
After talking with the Dr. in his office on 3 separate visits finally had a Reverse Shoulder Replacement on 6/22/2021 can’t thank him and his Staff enough after 7 weeks of rehab and still continuing for another 5 weeks I strongly recommend Dr. Desai for his expertise and professionalism to live a pain free life.
I highly recommend Dr. Desai…my surgery was successful. Two years later, no pain.
This doctor made up his mind he could not help me before he walked in since I am overweight. Because of that he didn't even review my x- ray with me, was short in his answers and it was obvious he only wanted his money.
I would give Dr. Desai 0 stars if I could. It was by far the worst interaction with a doctor that I have ever had. He doesn’t look at you when he talks to you. He does not want to hear about your symptoms or pain. He has attitude and 0 compassion. One of the rudest doctors I have ever seen. Couldn’t even look me in the eye. I’m only writing this to save the next patient from having such a horrible disheartening experience. When you’re in pain, and your quality of life has diminished greatly, this is the last person you want to see. I, unfortunately, had to endure such an unpleasant experience. Don’t put yourself through this because when you are in a horrible amount of pain, you don’t need to see someone like this. It’s truly unfortunate that he’s allowed to treat patients this way. I have no idea why he became a doctor. Trust me when I say, if a doctor can’t look you in the eyes, listen or communicate....you do not want him operating on you & being responsible for your well being. I hope that Dr. Desai will never treat another patient the way he just treated me. We, the patients, have the power to stand up to doctors who are not doing their job. As a paying patient, your feelings are valid and your pain is valid. I honestly have no idea why that man became a doctor. Please look elsewhere for help. I wouldn’t want anyone to feel how I felt sitting in that office & leaving that office.

Dr. Desai is awesome. He listens and explains and is all about the patient instead of himself. He did a shoulder replacement a month ago on me and I am glad to have found such a great doctor.
Had Rotator Cuff surgery in Feb. 2019. I am still having complications from the surgery. Swollen hand and pain in my elbow. Both problems showed up right after the surgery. Desai did not show up for 2 out of 3 appointments. The appointment he did show up for he did not even look at the shoulder. The PA and the Hand Doctor said that the problems would diminish. They have not! Desai had no bed side manner before or after the surgery. I asked him about severe headaches after the surgery and he said "I am not a headache doctor". I asked him about my hand pain and swelling and he said "That should not happen, put some ice on it". Remember surgeons get paid for cutting on you and not making appointments after the surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
