Chetan Khamare's Online Review Report Card

I waited 1 month for my scheduled appointment for a consultation with Dr Khamari in Wesley Chapel. Appointment was at 2:30. I checked in the office at 2:10 and saw only 1 other patient waiting. I was taken back to exam area at 2:50. By this time the waiting room was full of patients. Nurse did a required EKG and said Dr Khamare would be in shortly (this was at 3pm). As I waited, I heard the doctor going in and out of multiple patient rooms and talking to them. By 3:50pm I stepped outside the exam room only to see Dr Khamare step out of 1 room and enter another. I confirmed with the nurse that it was indeed Dr Khamare and asked her why I was being overlooked as it was already almost 1 1/2 hours since my appointment time. The nurse practioner intervened and asked if I would agree to have her start the consult as it would speed up the process for Dr Khamare. After speaking with her for a few minutes she stated that I would need further tests and she was going to speak with Dr Khamare to see if he wanted to speak with me or just order the tests. A few minutes later she looked embarrassed and informed me that Dr Khamare was now in a meeting and couldn't be interrupted. I then began to hear a lot of laughter and loud talking coming from down the hall (sounded like they were celebrating something). After another 10 minutes it quieted down so I again stepped out of the room only to see Dr Khamare stepping into another room and greeting another patient. I then informed the nurse practioner that I was only going to wait another 5 minutes as the wait time was ridiculous. After waiting another 10 minutes I gathered my belongings and left the office. I loudly stated that I was done being treated so poorly and being overlooked for my scheduled appointment that I had to wait 1 month for. I had been waiting almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment only to be dissed by the doctor. As I re-entered the waiting room, I couldn't help but notice that the room was empty of all patients. I stepped outside the doors and had to actually walk around a few sales reps speaking with another doctor. They were literally right outside the front door and based on the body language and conversation I believe they were part of the meeting that Dr Khamare was involved with when he chose to ignore me. Based on the arrogant treatment I received by Dr Khamare in his office I would NEVER recommend Premier Heart and Vascular Center of Wesley Chapel and I would NEVER recommend Dr Khamare. Sandra D.

Excellent cardiologist, very knowledgeable and cares about his patients

I met him at Baycare Hospital North when I was taken by ambulance. I was almost in Cardiac Arrest. It was Saturday before Mother's Day so the hospital Cardiologist admitted me for observation and ordered a Heart Catheterization. Dr. Khamare performed the procedure on Monday and placed very large Stent in my LAD. I was 80% blocked. My two other arteries are too small to stent and they are blocked. He is a very caring, skillful doctor. I see him and Dr. Gupta at the Carrollwood office.

Always a pleasure to see Dr. Khamare. I like his calm, confident personality and he always takes the time to listen. I have had no issues with the doctor and his staff also responds quickly to phone calls abd requests. (Bearss Avenue office as well as Zephyhills office).

Doctor Khamare is a great cardiologist. He is both thorough and kind. I recommend him highly.

I was having a Heart attack back on April 25th 2013 went to blake. Whit in 18 min I was in with Dr Chetan Khamare he did two stents and a ballon and saved my life. Great doctor and practice.
