Lakeland Regional Health's Online Review Report Card

It is super clean and the staff is super friendly to your face but the reception staff should use their off time at home or elsewhere to gossip about other workers. If you really have a problem then you should either confront the offending employee to discuss your grievances or report them to your supervisor especially if the coworker is interfering with your job. Overall I love the doctors nurses and medical assistants. They are very caring and concerned with the health of the patients in their care which is why I felt they warranted 4 stars. I’m not a fan of gossip or talking about people behind their back but that is my own personal pet peeve.

I have been a stage 4 cancer patient for about the last two years. I get excellent treatment always on time not crowded and very good Doctors and staff.Thanks all

Great staff and place saved my life

Each and every time my husband has an appointment with his Oncologist he has 2 different types of cancer we end up waiting 2 hours past his scheduled appointment time. No one comes out to offer an explanation as to why the Dr is running so late.. If you need cancer care find an oncology center that is NOT part of the Watson Clinic or Lakeland Regional Group. I am not sure of the medical hell we walked into when we moved to Lakeland. It seems as though ALL of the medical community is Watson Clinic Lakeland Regional or both. It is sad their are no independent Medical Groups that have the choice of the medical facilities to practice in. We have asked for prescription orders to take to centers that our insurance will cover. We were stuck with HUGE out of pocket copays because our insurance will not cover any lab radiology and other related diagnostics that are offered in Watson Lakeland Regional network. Sad.. Thankfully Advent Florida Hospital is moving into the area. It is about time

Check in was very easy and organized. Very neat. Attendants very efficient.

Demanding copay before major surgery. My partner is due ot have major surgery next week and the scheduler called today demanding my partner pay our copay. My partner listened and questioned this tactic and how the scheduler knew what to out of pocket cost would be since the surgery has not been done. She stated that it is an estimated cost and out of pocket may be well below her quote. It just galls me that Hollis Cancer Center is banking on a patients fear of Cancer and the potential of not receiving surgery and treatment if not able to pay the quoted potential out of pocket cost. Terrible that they are attempting to use Cancer fear tactics in an attempt to receive out of pocket that is not even known to them or our insurance company... Karma will swing around and bite the dogma... Horrible that Hollis uses fear tactics in an attempt to be paid for a service that has NOT been rendered..

The nurses in here are very rude for no party par reason. I was very nice to her even tho I was sick I wish I knew her name just know shes black. The doctors are pretty nice just wish theyd listen better.

I wanted to write a review about my experience at the Lakeland Hollis Center. I had been there 7 years ago and Dr. Pendas was my Dr. Since then I did pretty well until I had another episode of breast cancer. I got to meet my new Cancer surgeon Dr. Toan Nguyen who is Amazing. Of course not knowing him I was a little skeptical but the first time he came in and talked to me and my husband about my diagnosis I knew I had a Dr. who truly cared about me. I never feel rushed with him. He always takes whatever time I need to ask all the questions and he so kindly answers all of them. This Dr. in my opinion Stands out. He has the Best bedside manners and truly makes me comfortable.He did my surgery and I am totally comfortable with him and all his advice and wisdom. This is a Dr. who has passion about his patients and it shows.I am SO glad he is my dr. In my opinion he is the Very Best.

I have been going through bc since October 2004. My first time was with Watson clinic who near the end locked me out I was out of $.I have had it 3 x more since at Lakeland regional cancer center and they are AWESOME. Invasive ductal carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. ALL the staff is great.
