Looking at the three reviews posted here, I realized the page needs an antidote. I came to PRC by following my Psychiatrist there from a Corp. Medicine institution which had poor professional ethics and a focus on $$$. Peace River Center is a community mental health network covering three Florida counties. PRC provides a wide range of medical, psychiatric and pharmacy services at a number of sites in the 3 county area. It is funded by a mix of government, community and individual contributor sources, and provides services to patients at a conspicuously high standard of both care and compassion.

I wasn't going to write a review but when I was referred here by my primary care doctor, I'll be honest, I wasn't happy about it. It took me about 2 weeks to get an appointment with a psychiatrist after going through the consultation to get a referral from the therapist, (which I saw on a walk in basis.) Very convenient and much quicker than having to wait on an appointment!It started out as a slow, (but easy, process,) however, since that appointment, after getting my foot in the door, as an established patient, I have no complaints. I feel good again and my doctor is literally amazing!Very kind, compassionate and listens to what you're saying to put you back on the right track.She is no longer there as of a week ago but I don't intend on stopping going there just because of that.If things aren't going well, (with or without a referral,) I highly recommend going to Peace River for any mental health issues or problems you are experiencing. You'll be so glad you did.Somebody probably needs to hear this.
