Women's Care Florida's Online Review Report Card

Have you ever been refused service for not paying for something that hasn't yet occurred? Me either. Today I was refused prenatal care because I couldn't pay a large sum down payment for delivery that isn't going to happen for another 6 months. Yes, the doctor turned away a fully insured patient for not paying a claim that hasn't even happened yet. They would have been paid fully for today's visit. This makes absolutely zero sense. I am honestly appalled and will be finding new care.

Dr Damian's wise answer to every issue is How old are you? Oh honey is part of getting old as a woman. Im not even 40. Smh

OB changed their visitor policy and sent and email this morning which is the day of my ultrasound appointment, my husband took the day off and we drove together and now upon walking in we are told he’s no longer allowed to attend the appointment so he has to wait for hours because I have 2 appointments. A call or other notice would have been nice since this email and change was only 2 hours prior to my appointment

I had been going to Women's Care for 20+ years in Brandon and was reluctant to change locations when I moved to Lakeland 7 years ago. I finally made the change and couldn't be more satisfied. Emily Spangler APRN addressed all of my concerns while educating me on treatment and self care measures. She was extremely professional as was the entire office. I want to acknowledge Michelle who was working at the South Lakeland office. I accidentally went to the wrong office and she went the extra mile calling North Lakeland and adjusting my appointment to ensure I could still be seen. The mammography/ DEXA tech was gentle and advised me on what to expect.

Dr. Puretz is the best & his nurses are wonderful and front desk staff is very friendly and helpful! Always clean and on time. Highly recommend!

Love this office!! I have been going through a lot with surgically induced menopause and it has been a nightmare. But When I go to Women’s Care Florida - North Lakeland, I always feel hope that things will get better. The staff is very kind. Angie always makes me feel better and I never dread going to the OBGYN anymore. Lol Thank you Dr. Puretz and Staff for all that you do!

I'm shock this establishment is still open. This place does not care for their patients. If you have an emergency, spare your time and go somewhere that will actually help you. Especially since the front desk refuses to do their job and dismiss you, stating that if it hurt that bad, then to go to the hospitals ER. Also if you set up an appointment, I recommend you record it so they don't try to save themselves and state that you didn't initially call for that. Seriously don't know why this place is open for service to the public. Didn't even offer any help or recommendations on what to do. Due to being 4 minutes late they canceled my appointment. When I told them the pain and the problem they kept telling me if that was the issue, they cant do anything about it since my initial appointment was for something else (which was false. I explicitly explained on the phone the same issues when I arrived for my appointment.) Also when stated that the supervisor could help me, they refused to get her involved. The front desk workers were whispering and talking to each other about me while I was standing right in front of them. Very unprofessional. They simply do not care for their patients wellbeing. The most disappointing part is that the doctors are probably pretty good at their job but the staff make it nearly impossible to receive that medical help.

Dr. Nixon left me feeling more in control of my health than possibly any OB/GYN I've ever had, and I can only hope I made her feel as respected as she made me feel. Also, the staff are great, really on the ball. I can't remember the last time I was in and out in under two hours, even as a new patient.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This office is very unprofessional and has very poor record keeping skills. I was refused at my appointment because I didn't answer when they called me 4 years ago for appointments that were supposed to be cancelled. At the time I was pregnant and had to change providers for insurance reasons, I signed my records release and was refunded and now they tell me (after I took time off work for an appointment where they wouldn't even give me a pregnancy test!) that they didn't know I left and had no record of it. I guess they think my other ob stole my records from them or something? I called another provider today to make an appointment and told them what happened and they were dumbfounded. Completely incompetent and refused me care because of a clerical error on their end...4 years ago. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

My wife and I have had issues with this place since our very first visit. The staff are rude and talk to people like they're children, they don't communicate too well, and they harp on people wearing masks while most staff behind the counter either don't wear one at all or wear them improperly. With all that being said, we stuck with it because the reviews are generally positive and with us having our first baby, we wanted to go somewhere great. As the pregnancy progressed, the visits here continued to be underwhelming and just bad. Mainly because of the staff. The doctor seems to be fine but the staff is just absolutely terrible.Fast forward several months.. My wife was having complications with her pregnancy. She called and called and called with no answer. She left several messages with no call back. We ended up going to the ER and my wife had to get 3 transfusions. 2 weeks and a missed appointment go by and still no communication from this office. Nothing. No call back from the several left messages, no call back to ask why an appointment was missed, literally nothing...Needless to say, we were both upset... My wife obviously no longer felt comfortable with this office so we switched OBs (at 36 weeks). And even after the new OB requested all medical records it took over a week to get a call back. But not to ask how things are going, not to ask why an appointment was missed, not to check on the well being of a pregnant woman who is so close to giving birth it could happen at any time... But an automated phone call to reschedule the missed appointment that has long been missed..I feel like this place was a good place to go at one point in time. I believe that time has passed and recommend anyone looking for an OB to look elsewhere..
