List of Florida Digestive Health Specialists's Reviews
Very terrible experience. We were told back in January 2022 while choosing a GI provider that our insurance was accepted by both our insurance provider, and FDS Bradenton location. Showed up to our appointment, check in went fine. Collected our $50 copay. No issues with Dr. Caire or staff. Fast forward 5 months later and we get a bill for the full amount of the visit. We called FDS to inquire as we were told we only had a $50 copay which was already collected. Billing informed us that they would re-submit to our insurance and be in touch. A couple of months later we did not hear anything back, assumed it had been taken care of due to the lack of communication. Got a bill from COLLECTIONS. Called FDS billing dept in Bradenton who refused to talk to us. Also called our insurance whom informed us that FDS does take our insurance, but a prior approval was needed. No one told us this prior to our visit, or even at our visit. No one told this after this fact either, nothing! I am assuming the staff apparently does not know their insurances and requirements. For over the past month I have been passed around between supervisor Missy, Manager Danielle, and the staff at the Bradenton location. I've made multiple phone calls, left voicemails, and requested emails. Nothing. No one can return my phone calls or tell me anything. I also called and spoke the manager Rebecca Clark at the corporate billing center whom assured me FDS did accept my insurance weeks ago. She stated she would also be in contact with Manager Danielle. I have not heard anything, and called to follow up a couple of weeks later. Still nothing. Please save your time, money, energy, and headache. Do not choose Florida Digestive Health for your GI needs. Their lack of knowledge in insurance and lack of communication is not appropriate for healthcare.
Very negative experience with every single person I have had contact with there. I will drive back to Tallahassee or anywhere else in Florida to avoid going to any part of this network of doctors. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that is actually patient focused.
The office staff for billing is rude and unhelpful. I received a bill for one amount and paid it. I received a second bill 2 months later that included the amount I had already paid and a new amount, and I paid that in full. When I called to get help to get it corrected, the lady was rude, was yelling, unhelpful. I can't believe how rude people are anymore instead of being helpful!
Truly the meanest nastiest people on earth! They have always disrespected me! The doctor was great and anesthesiologist but the office help and two of the nursing staff are just nasty nasty nasty people; sorry it's the truth!
Office staff has terrible customer service!
Went for my routine colonoscopy. Never saw the Doctor even after the procedure. Doctor was late for the procedure and didn't even say hi. I had to call for my results no one called me. I just received a letter from them saying they are terminating me as a Patient because they are looking for money - this procedure is 100% covered by my insurance. Please beware......
Not a well-run health care organization. Appointments and answers difficult. Slow response time. Customer charges (beyond insurance) more than most healthcare groups charge. Collection methods poor - they use scare tactics - will drop you you for small charges, but you can’t pay at the providers office.
Don’t expect a phone call with your results. This provider insists that you go to their office for a 5 minute appointment. I requested a phone call and was told flat out that they do not do Teladoc. Instead I had to take an hour out of my work day to drive there and back for a 2 minute result appointment. Of course I had to pay a $50.00 co pay. That’s how they get you. The colonoscopy prep is so out of date. Did that same prep 18 yrs ago and have had 3 procedures since then and none of them had me drink gallons of lime flavored drink. It is disgusting!
Excellent service, awesome
Today I visited the 59th Street location. I completed the online first time forms and showed up on time for my appointment. I had to take my 2 year old with me. I was told they are sorry that it was not explained to me that no children allowed per policy unless they are being seen. I was also informed that they still needed me to arrive before my scheduled appointment for paperwork and assessments. I would have been very grateful if this was communicated to me prior to driving 35 mins in traffic to the appointment. These are the policies and behaviors that maintain the wide discrepancy in healthcare service delivery and “access”. These very policies have significant implications for those vulnerable due to the “Social Determinants of Health”. Childcare and taking days off from work is not readily accessible to all. Promoting policies that maintain these discrepancies reflect a need for reevaluation. I will not be returning and will request referral to a more progressive compassionate clinic that has an in-depth understanding of the patient population they serve....

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
