List of The Windsor Of Lakewood Ranch's Reviews
Excellent assisted living facility in a very nice section of Lakewood Ranch. Great daily activities, support and residences for clients.
Dana, Ashley and all other employees at Windsor were great. Supplied me with all the info I needed and were professional and courteous. Highly recommend.
My father in law (like a dad to me) was only a resident at Windsor for a year but I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and the care he received there. He needed more help than many of the other residents with his activities of daily living (showering, bathroom, transferring from bed to chair, etc) and the staff always had him looking fresh and clean - no matter when we popped in. His room was also kept very clean, and Dad was very happy - all of which was very important to us.I could go on and on about their wonderful facility and staff - but here’s the thing that should make anyone looking for a solid review and take to heart…… I myself am a RN, it’s tough to feel 100% confident in any medical or living care your loved ones receive, so when I say I trust in these people, I am saying it with confidence and you as well should feel good about your decision to move your family member to Windsor of Lakewood Ranch.
My husband was a resident of Windsor for over a year and I would like to give a shout out about a particular employee at the Lakewood Ranch location. His name is Henry Abaca. Henry is a hard working man in charge of maintaining everything mechanical and more at this facility. But what sets Henry apart is his caring and compassion to the residents and their families as well. Always willing to help carry heavy packages, actually asking if you need anything, and always with a smile.Indeed, he is a valuable asset to the Windsor.
October 7, 2020On September 12th my sister Rose, who is 83 years old and lived in Connecticut decided she would consider moving to Florida. We immediately began researching Assisted Living Facilities and making appointments to visit. One of the places we called was The Windsor and the first voice we heard was the receptionist Gwen, who took the time to ask us how she could help. She answered our many questions, listened to our concerns and gave us a positive impression of The Windsor because of her very positive attitude. The next day we came in to meet with Dana. Dana was informative, professional and yet comfortable to talk to as she listened to the unique mobility challenges that my sister has. She matched services provided by The Windsor to Rose’s needs, taking the time to share credentials and personal observations about the staff that would be providing services. It was obvious that she had a positive rapport with all the staff. During our tour we were able to speak to the Physical Therapist, Joe who spoke about how he would tailor a program for Rose.By Thursday afternoon we had spoken to the Director of Nursing. Eleven days after Rose was “considering” moving to Florida, we signed the papers and took possession of the keys.We had much to do in four days because Rose’s intake was scheduled for 11:00am on September 27th. Joe and Henry accompanied us to the apartment, helped us measure and took the time to brainstorm with us about furniture placement that met my sister’s mobility challenges. The next day they moved the bed and set it up when we weren’t even there! They kept us informed of deliveries. They spoke of the residents with respect as you would about beloved family members. They spoke highly of the staff and their skills. They are skilled in their abilities, responsive and attentive to the residents. Beyond their exceptional work ethics these two men are true examples of a gentleman. They are kind and patient speaking to and looking at each resident with respect. On two occasions my husband tried to thank them with a monetary gift but they both refused, stating that a verbal thank-you was compensation enough!Moving an 83 year old woman who is in a wheelchair from her hometown of 83 years and her house of fifty-six years is no small fete and to do it from a distance, while setting up an unfurnished apartment is near impossible. Yet we did it in two weeks. We are so grateful to the professionalism of ALL the staff, starting with Beth Windell who sets the tone of cooperation and team work among staff affording each resident the dignity that they have earned no matter what physical or mental challenges they have.During the next three days as we moved in staff would greet us and offered to help.Randi asked for the correct spelling of Rose’s name so she could make labels for Rose.Destiny, Rose’s afternoon caregiver took the time to listen to me about my sisters needs and eased my mind with anecdotes about Rose chatting with other residents. Brittany evaluated Rose for both Occupational and Physical Therapy and by October 4th both she and Joe are working with Rose. Rose has had a lot of therapists over the years and stated that Joe and Brittany are two of the best she has ever worked with. Daniel (her morning caregiver) is by far the best caregiver that I ever met. HIs skills, techniques, knowledge of equipment and gentleness is beyond comforting; it allows us to be at peace with the decision of moving Rose from her home. One of my sister’s observation is that people tend to overlook the disabled person and talk about them as if they are not present and make decisions for them. Henry didn’t do that - he took the time to lean down look Rose in the eye and say welcome to your new family. You have an exceptional staff who respect each other, work together and care for their residents.Linda and Martin
My mother moved to Windsor in June and we couldn’t be happier. The staff is friendly, professional, and caring. We can’t say enough about how pleased we are knowing my mother is in capable loving hands.
My mother has lived at the Windsor for five years. I can't even begin to tell you the loving care she has received from the Director, the nurse team (amazing) and even the maintenance team who just replaced her carpet and bathroom floor. If you have a loved one that needs to be in a loving facility, you can't do much better than the Windsor of Lakewood Ranch. We are so grateful for their incredible care.
My father has been at Windsor Of Lakewood Ranch for over a year. I can’t say enough about The Windsor. The staff has treated my father with kindness and compassion. They are very caring to the needs of my dad as well as the other residence. I would like to thank every staff member at the The Windsor of Lakewood Ranch for making my dad feel at home. They make you feel part of the family.
My parents moved to the Windsor in January 2021. We are extremely happy with the care they are receiving. The staff is professional, attentive and caring; the meals are great and the environment is beautiful and uplifting. It is wonderful to know that mom and dad are receiving the care they need.
My Mother has been at The Windsor of LWR for about 3 years. I guess because things run so smoothly there, sometimes we forget to give a “shout out” for those who go the extra mile. I thought I’d posted a review but seems I did it wrong!Anyway, we had to move my Mother to a smaller apartment and Beth was wonderful in helping make that even possible! But she’s a “hands on” leader and you know the job will get done and your family member member will be treated like “family”. This move came just after the Corona virus got cranked up- so I was unable to help pack anything or figure out what furniture, etc would fit. Joe, not only the head of maintenance and the zillion other “Hats” he wears... actually texted photographs of the new apt, sent measurements and helped me figure out what would fit in the new space. He and his assistant, Henry, not only packed EVERYTHING up but then they placed every item back where she had it - and I mean even her nightgowns were refolded and put away neatly! They reconnected her phone and TV, re-started her air purifier - EVERYTHING! And THEN Joe helped load excess tables, etc into my car. As if that wasn’t enough-Joe also went out of his way to find a place for furniture, etc we could no longer use. Who does that???!!! Joe always has his plate full, but anytime I’ve ever needed anything- his response is typically “consider it done”. I don’t worry about that task anymore because I know he will take care of it!We’ve been fortunate to have found a home away from home for my Mother. We all want the best for our parents -the staff at The Windsor has made that possible! Jennifer J Rodgers

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
