Dr C Patel is an amazing Dr. However the one employee that you have to deal with for referrals etc. is very rude and doesn’t do her job and because of this myself and 2 friends are changing Pcp’s.

Dr. C. Patel has been and is my primary care for 17 years. I have to say some of his staff i.e. front desk and nurses have plenty room for improvement. However, I do not go to Doctor to make friends I go for my personal health care needs. Yes, friendliness would be a nice bonus, though it does not matter in my purpose for visit. Dr. C. Patel is a smart man and knowledgeable in his field. He will work with you as much as you care to put into yourself. Meaning If you don't want to dig further into your health matter(s) he is ok with that. If you are not satisfied and feel more needs done, he has no issues in making sure those are looked into. The more input you give the better equipped he is in creating a plan of action. He will answer your questions the best that he can. You do have to prepare and plan for your visit. Have your questions ready for him. He will converse with you. I've read some reviews that say he is out for the bonus or perks from ins. Ect... That is not fully true. We as humans all like to gain so keep that in mind as well as his time is not all day either he does have other people to see too. So just be prepared to ask and address your concerns right up front. Then allow him to look you over and read his notes. And he will then give you his professional advice at which then you and he develope an action plan. Ask questions until your are satisfied. Remember, he does not personally know you or your living conditions ect.. so it is Your responsibility to give him the knowledge he needs in order for you to gain personalized quality care. No two bodies function exactly the same. We are not a robot that's programed. The building itself is outdated but his knowledge and abilities are not.

He listens to me and he knows what to do. He is very confident in what he is doing and is very easy to talk to.

I believe Dr. CJ Patel is the most incompetent Dr. I have ever met. He refuses to do diagnostic testing to find out what is wrong and refuses to send anyone to a specialist. I almost lost my life because of him and another Dr. in his office. Nurses are rude also. The only nice person there is the receptionist Nancy. Dr. Patel is only out for the bonus check he gets from the insurance company every month for saving them money. If an insurance agent recommends then run away from the agent. If there was a 0 star rating I would choose that.

Dr patel is a wonderful Doctor, but his staff is horribly rude and inconsiderate. The make scheduling mistakes, blame the patient, and never apologize. The doctor works at several locations so i suggest seeing him somewhere other than at boughanville road. He will listen to you and care for you as if you are family. Just please know his staff at this specific Tampa location is a disaster.

been my primary dr for over 11 yrs nothing bad to say!

The first thing is office is nasty. My mother has been going to him. With complaints of her back he told her she was just getting old, she's asked for test and the only thing he does is give her more drugs. My mother fell over a month in a half and as of 04/19/2011 her leg is still not well. He put my mother in a rehab center it wasn't the same on he told us she was going to. He put her in Rehabilitation and Healthcare, they checked her in at 9p.m. The rehab facility was horrible , they wouldn't help her go to the bathroom, brush her teeth or take a bath. I myself had to go the nurse's station 3 times to get her a tylerol. My mother was 100 times worse when she left there, he told us he had no idea they were that way. My mother and father are both hard of hearing, and he takes that for granted, the only thing he wants is the insurance money. He doesn't care about his patients just the insurance money. I don't know how he sleeps at night. If you love your family member DON'T take them..

He has never completely examed my mother, he wants to keep her coming back for more office visit's that way he can bill the insurance for another office visit. She went there with a head cold and he didn't give her anything for that now he wants her to come back to the office so he can look at her from hiw desk and write her something for her head cold.
