Dr Lawus-Scurry is superb. Very patient and understanding. I'd highly recommend her. Very knowledgable. Couldn't be happier. Best doc I've had. I saw a review Brandi B. of poor office staff. I found them to be great, when in person. I think the shortcoming may be in their phone skills, which can be a challenge. I get the feeling that maybe they aren't empowered? I'm not sure, but there doesn't seem to be any intuitiveness in their approach to dealing with patients. I called about the weight-loss POP I saw in the office and they didn't know what I was talking about, so I reminded them of the POP and then they gave me another number to call? I called and they tried to schedule me an appt in Baldwin Park. I live in Lake Mary. My wife ended up getting to the bottom of it and finally found out that the weight-loss program was only on Fridays, so we booked. Down 15 pounds so far. woohoo! I agree, the 5 stars are for Dr Lawus-Scurry, not the staff. When I'm there though, they're 5 stars too, so its;' weird. Whoever is on the phone is a 1-star. Get past that, and you'll have a great Doc and a caring staff.

Dr,Lawlus-Scurry is a first rate physician and I would highly recommend her. However the office staff are extremely incompetent, unprofessional and rude! Be prepared to be aggravated and insulted. To bad she doesn't move to a different office I would follow.

Dr. Lawus-Scurry is an excellent primary care physician. She has been my doctor for the last 4 years. She is the first MD to actually listen and make recommendations based on then entire picture. She also takes her time with patients. Alex S.

I am new to Lake Mary and Florida. As of September 2010 I have been under the care of Lawus- Scurry MD for about a year. I like her style of medicine. What I like best is that she is responsive and careful in her considerations for possible illness. I did not expect such care in a small town. The office service is surprisingly good. She also treats my mother and has treated her for a few years.

I've been going to Dr. Lawus-Scurry for quite a few years now. I've seen her for all kinds of things - super scary things, pedestrian things, physicals, you name it. She's a very smart doctor that delivers the information in a very clear manner. And when I've been in for the scary stuff, she's always been quick to line up outside specialists and made sure I was seen ASAP. I couldn't ask for much more in a primary physician.

Two months ago, after giving birth to my baby boy. I came to the Physician Associates to see Dr. Lawus Scurry to have my blood test to check my thyroid level and see if I still need to take Propilthyouracil which is a medication to treat hyperthyroid. I was informed that even though my test result is "normal" I still need to take the medication. I was a little bit suspicious because of the word "normal", so I confirm with the receptionist several times and was told again and again that I have to take the medication. Today because I need a refill, I found out from the receptionist at this office that after Dr Lawus recheck my medical record, I do not need the medication because my lab result was "normal"!! I am really upset because I have been on the prescribed medication for the past two months when I don't have to since my thyroid level is "normal". Hello, any dummy know that if it's normal, you don't have to take the medication right?! Wrong! I don't see the doctor face to face so I can't blame her, but I can't come back to this office anymore because the receptionist here act like doctors and they will answer all medical questions without consulting with the real doctors. I Do Not recommend anyone to this office because I don't feel safe here. The receptionists here will answer "your" medical questions without consulting with the doctors and put your life at risk.

I have been going to Dr. Lawus-Scurry since I moved to Central Florida in 2001. She is a kind and caring women. She always listens to what you have to say. I definatly recommend her PCP.

I was referred to Dr. Lawus-Scurry through a friend (Colleen B.) when I was looking for a general care practician in Orlando. I'm SO happy that I took her recommendation! Dr. Lawus-Scurry is very intelligent, caring, and friendly. I feel like I can ask her anything and that I will get not only a very knowledgeable answer, but that she is always looking out for my best interest. I have had a lot of headaches for what seems like forever (since I was in high school) and none of my doctors have ever seemed too concerned about it. No "you're fine, take some tylenol"... no "let's do this test, you might have a brain tumor"... nothing! This is actually the reason I first went to Dr. Lawus-Scurry, and the first thing she suggested was that I get an MRI just to be sure there was nothing crazy going on. FINALLY a doctor who actually wants to be 100% sure! Another great thing, which is rare, is that I can usually get in to see her the same day or next day if I'm sick, rather than waiting a week or two with other docs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lawus-Scurry to any friend or family member! She's so nice, and more importantly, smart and caring!

Dr. Lawus-Scurry has been my MD for the past 4 years. She is phenomenal! I have trusted her as soon as I met her the very first time. She is extremely personable and so caring. She shows genuine concern for how you are feeling mentally and physically. She makes sure you touch upon everything when you are there and knows when you miss appointments and is truly dedicated to your health. Upon my first visit 4 years ago I was telling her about a headache I had that day and how it effected my vision. She immediately sent me across the street for a scan which confirmed I had migraines. She wastes NO time when something is serious or potentially serious for that matter; she is extremely thorough. I was impressed with the way she remembered me from visit to visit when I only see her about 2-3 times a year. She makes sure I follow everything correctly and that everything is working out. She is extremely attentive and caring. She is always willing to suggest a specialist upon request, spend extra time if you just want medical advice or just to vent about your health. I am truly impressed with her practice and always refer people who are looking for a good Family doctor to Dr. Kim. She also recently took on medial weight loss as a specialty so I will have to inquire about that next time I see her. She has taken care of my broken tail bone to the everyday common cold.
