Dr. David Butler is very sensible, efficient, competent and noticeably dedicated to his work. He is very pleasant with a ready wit and sense of humour, too. The same goes for Dr. Michael Buter – very pleasant, prompt and with such a nice calming effect. It was great to have people like that rescuing me from blindness. Dr. Butler is an outstanding doctor. In all of my interactions with the Canadian health care system, I have never seen a doctor as professional, polite, caring, organized, and knowledgeable as Dr. Butler. Every single member of his team is also friendly, helpful, and professional, from the reception desk to the nurses. Dr. Butler conducted cataract surgery for my mom, and the entire experience was very positive. He even let me stay in the operating room to support my mom who was a bit nervous about the operation. I live far away but having Dr. Butler as my mom's ophthalmologist was completely worth the trip. Thank you!

My interactions with Dr Butler were very positive he was patient ,understanding and informative . His staff were polite and efficient . My cataract surgery was quick and on time and I am very pleased with the results no real discomfort at all during healing. Esther.

I guess if your cataract result is good you are happy. Mine was not. My distance vision lens turned out to be short sighted- Dr. Butler said this was not unusual from settling in place. I was not warned. Then he said if I wanted accurate results I should go to Dr. Blaylock in Abbotsford and pay for private care, as he has the only interoperative aberrometer in the province which is needed to properly measure the needed correction after the cataract is removed. Surgery is done with a scalpel not a modern laser. Otherwise, he's a nice guy. His knowledge rating should be unknown to me.
