List of Barry Winton's Reviews
I had lung cancer in 2015. My right upper lobe was involved. When Dr Winton did the surgery, he found that the cancer had invaded the middle lobe as well as the upper. He had to remove both lobes. I have COPD in the remaining lobes. In spite of this, Dr Winton did such a good job that I lead a quite normal life- I just had to learn to slow down some. Thank you, Dr Winton, for your talent and your bedside manner- you're the best!
June 13, 2016 is the day when Dr. Winton performed my bypass surgery. The fifth anniversary is approaching. I've been given five years good health with a strong heart. I owe all this to Dr. Winton and his staff. I have lived each day of the last five years to the best of my ability, and with much gratitude. Thank you! Dr. Winton
My husband had surgery with dr Winton 4 years ago. He is a wonderful doctor. Really cares about his patients. He also was good with me. He explained everything to me about the surgery before and after. My husband had cancer and is doing good
Dr Winton replaced my two mitral valves in feb 2016 and i'm still ticking pretty good at 65. I still work in construction. Recovery was good. Him & his staff are super.
Dr Winton is an extremely skillful surgeon. There is no doubt that I would refer family, friends and anyone looking for a specialist to Dr. Winton. Although my surgery was a rather complicated procedure, he completed it as easily as putting a stamp on a letter. I went home from the hospital the next day, no complications and have a barely visible scar.
I was from out of town and my lung collapsed. He tried to get the leak to close on it's own for a week and when it didn't he took me to surgery. I felt I was in very good hands and had complete confidence in him. I feel very fortunate that I got him when I came into the emergency room because I did not know anything about the doctors in this area. He answered all of my questions and was very personable. He made me feel like I was important to him.
One thing I can say about this Dr. Is he is knowledgeable in his field, and not self absorbed. Very nice and polite, takes time to explain. Been a very good experience.
Dr. Winton performed open heart surgery to remove large tumor from within my heart. Many other doctors could not help me. I owe my life to Dr. Winton
Dr Barry Winton was my surgeon for both my heart and carotid artery, both operations were very successful. He has a presence that made me feel that I was in the best hands possible, the nursing staff assured me if they needed surgery they would want him to do the operation. He is truly a gifted man in his profession.
Barry Winton performed heart surgery (quad by pass and valve) and then by passes in my legs. He exhibited professionalism and skill with every surgery and showed his compassion before and after, softening the impact for my wife yet being candid about what was involved. I'm an old journalist so I appreciate the straight talk from him and they way he handled every question I asked. It's been 15 years, I'm in fantastic shape, wish I could download photo of great cardio I've done with splitting and stacking wood for winter. This guy is probably the best heart doc in the US. I wish he was still in Billings but, given what St. Vincent Healthcare has done with cardio unit, I'm tempted to make appointments in Fargo.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
