Don D. Luong's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Don Luong has been treating my husband for Colangiocarcinoma. I called his office to ask if he was taking new patients as we were feeling very lost unsure of what was to come next. I explained all of this to his receptionist. Dr Luong without even meeting my husband called a surgeons conference meeting to discuss my husband Doms treatments to set forth a plan of action. His beautiful comforting demeanor has helped us through this terrifying process. Dr. Luong goes above and beyond to ensure my husbands treatments are efficient as invasive as possible. We are very grateful that we found him he has given us immense hope. We couldnt imagine not having him on our side. Compassion matters especially when you have a life threatening illness. Thank you Dr. Luong for restoring our faith in the medical profession.

I have to agree with the review posted by Susan. My mother was a patient of this doctor for several years. I had the unfortunate opportunity to speak with him a few weeks ago and his behavior was so incredibly childish. My mother is seriously ill and I was very concerned. This doctor commented to me that my mother must be okay because she was pacing the hallways on the last time she was in the clinic for blood work. Well to clarify she went into the hallway looking for a nurse because she sat in a room for so long that she thought they had forgotten about her.This physician may have been smart enough to get through med school but he should not be caring for cancer patients. He is uncaring smug and egotistical.

I’d like to start off by saying my last visit was horrific with Don Luong. Started off by him saying do you know you have a tumor on your kidney I have stage four renal carcinoma well I said yes I’ve been coming here for nine months last year this is my first visit this year. Thinking about it he must’ve been perturbed by the way I treated his nurse practitioner because she was always late I was there once a month minimum 3 to 4 hours to receive my infusion. I do receive infusions in Michigan and it only takes an hour to an hour and a half. When the meeting continued and he stated that the new drug that I’ll be on I will lose the skin on my hands I will probably get hepatitis and Imodium will be my new friend also I’m on a blood thinner called Lovenox and he told me that I’ll be on that for the rest of my life it’s like getting bit by a hornet it’s painful for at least 15 minutes not a very good passionate bedside manner. This doctor literally saved my life I first went into to this knowing the cancer I had could kill megiven a 70% chance of deathI fought and went through treatment and survivedI dont want sugar coating when dealing with my health just the truth and how to fight itthank you Dr. Luong I get to see my grand kids

Dr Luong is such a wonderful doctor. He truly shows compassion for his patients and his profession. He is extremely thorough and explains in great detail answering all of your questions and makes you feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr Luong

He is a very thorough doctor. He can explain difficult medicine at a human level. He lays out the plan of treatment so there is no confusion or fear. The whole staff at Florida Cancer Specialist is kind caring and efficient. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Absolutely the best Personality is amazing concern for patients above 100%. Can not say enough about office staff. Would recommend this practice in a heartbeat??????
