Diagnosed kidney cancer in 2014. Gave me choices as to what to do. Answered all questions I had. I chose surgery. Within five days I was scheduled. Because we acted so fast I have had no need for further treatment. For eleven years I have had a CT scan and follow up. So fat I am cancer free. Dr Klavans is my hero.

Dr Klavans is a great Dr. he’s been my boyfriend Jerry Rigolis Dr also. When Jerry had cancer he fixed him up n made him well again I’ve also had great care from him for urinary issues. I would recommend him for superior care

I was referred to Advanced Urology by my primary care doctor and Dr Klavans was the referred Urologist..after finally getting an appointment for prostate and urinary issues he came in and I hadnt even finished filling out my paperwork..so he had no idea why I was even there.. I explained my symptoms..which he barely seemed to listen to..then did about a 3 second..not so professional..prostate exam..muttering..sorry when he jammed his finger a tad too hurriedly up my ...barely touching the prostate..my girlfriend is a Nurse Practitioner and told me what the exam should entail..well..nothing like that was done..I gave a urine sample..which I guess he just dipped a strip in or something..and came back and pronounced that there was nothing wrong with my prostate..and then hurriedly told me to schedule an ultrasound and Urodynamics test..which i had done 3 weeks..later.and out the door he went..apparently my symptoms werent high enough up the profit scale to warrant a more thorough exam?..since it is a for profit med facility and parent company..so...i got the ultrasound results quickly and apparently found nothing..fast forward to last wednesday April 21st i got a message from a nurse Dina that my bladder test results were in and to call her back..which I promptly did..getting first an answering service that hung up on me while transferring 3 times..I got through again and she said to leave a message..which i did..Nurse Dina called back next day and I missed the call because i was in the bathroom trying to squeeze out some urine as my symptoms had gotten worse..basically up every 45 mins to burning pain..She said in message that she got my message..but didnt know which test the message was about..which she knew the day before..so after another round of trying to get her on the phone..through some loony answering service guy rambling about my last name and bastardization of early 20th century European peein? ha names like mine..OK..then..he said he would mark my message URGENT..which obviously was not deliverd or was ignored..I realize health care professionals are very busy and stressed..but having said my symptoms were way worse after my Urodynamics test by a very surly and condescending female whose name I do not recallI would think a call back would be..logical..and a followup appointment? but so as of 426..there is nothing on my patient portal except the tests I had done..but no results..or anything else as every field is blank..so..I wil end my tirade here and go there tomorrow and try and talk to someone about my results and get my med records and find another Urologist..as I have ZERO trust in Dr. Klavans or his nurse to do their jobs properly..at least in MY experience with them.....but the receptionst from Boston is Awesome
