Eye surgery is scary. A++ to Dr. Desai and his entire team, both office and surgical for working together for successful outcomes for many patients. I had cataract and corrective lens implants done. Dr. Desai gave me personal assurance all would be well, after my first eye over reacted to drops and I had difficulties. He saw me immediately the morning after surgery, corrected the difficulty, and 100% assured me I would be fine. I am. I had the 2nd eye done yesterday, and I can see clearer and cleaner than I have in 35 years. I cannot express my gratitude for the entire staff the Eye Institute. This is a very busy office, bring a book.

Dr. Desai is wonderful to discuss your situation with and extremely knowledgeable. Staff at Largo and Tampa are pleasant and competent people and I appreciate their mask mandates. A week out from my PKP (full cornea) transplant on my very complex eye and everything is going very, very well. It will be months before I can report on how the vision is going but Dr. Desai is confident that he can get me good vision; a contact will be required in my situation. Waiting for insurance to settle as I had to pay $4500 upfront for the cornea in order to get surgery 4 months sooner at their Largo Surgical Ctr (ipo Norton Hosp), which should be reimbursed to me. I truly believe I found the best of Ophthalmologists so hopeful it all goes as planned.

I had previous surgery for a retina issue and then developed a cataract which caused my eye to be 20/400. Dr. Desai skillfully removed the cataract and my vision is now 20/25. I am thrilled with the results. I was also very pleased with the surgical prep team that were very efficient but also kind and pleasant to deal with. If you have a cataract that is effecting your sight I highly recommend that you select Dr. Desai for removal of the cataract.

Dr. Desai helped cure my eye (Cornea). It was in rough shape couldn’t see out of eye. Vision was horrible. But Dr Desai brought my vision back to 20/30 a huge difference and Dr. Sacksteder also gave me back my vision with out surgeries. Very professional and kind. Makes you feel completely comfortable. Unlike going to ER where you think your going to lose your eye. Also very up front and tells you everything. Instead of keeping you unaware what’s going on. Unlike St. Anthony ER hospital. I highly recommend both Doctors.
