List of Herman M Epstein's Reviews
His office is very friendly. Dr Herman is kind and compassionate. His exams are gentle especially for GYN exams. He has been reassuring with my heath and would only recommend procedures that are truly necessary !! He is very experienced and I am so lucky he is my doctor!
Excellent care. Seen in a timely manner and treated well. Thanks
I was referred to Dr Epstein by a friend. I read the reviews and they were horrible. I said may be i should not go there if he is that bad. I went any way to see for myself. The staff were very friendly and I got out in timely manner. The Dr was very professional. The place it self is not up to date but well kept. To anyone who wish to go to his office. Disregard all of those bad reviews. If you don't like him don't go back but don't be a hater.
I have been going to Dr. Epstein for at least twenty years. Those concerned with the appearance of his office should see someone else perhaps with a prettier decor up in Boca or Las Olas where the furniture and wallcoverings are more to their liking. The office is not dirty but a little dated. The quality of service and the unquestionable knowledge of the doctor should be of concern and in my dealings with Dr. Epstein have, over the years, been of the utmost quality. There is no substitute for experience, the fact that his office is always busy should tell you that. S. Karl
This dr I owe my life too! He discovered and treated a condition that several drs failed too. He is courteous and takes the time to listen .
Dr. Epstein was very curt and I felt rushed. He didn't give me the opportunity to explain my symptoms, how long I've had them, etc. He began the examination a few seconds before the nurse came in which made me uncomfortable. When I tried to tell him my history of this problem he cut me off and was dismissive as if what I'm experiencing was all in my head. He over talked me and cut me off several times which upset me because I felt like I was not valued as a customer and more importantly, a person. I ended up walking out of the clinic, crying, and searched for another physician. I was able to meet with someone who was more patient, attentive, accommodating, and who listened to my concerns fully. This gave him the opportunity understand my reason for visit and this was able to treat me accordingly. I felt much better afterwards. I later called Dr. Epstein's office to inform the office manager of my experience and that I will have to report my experience and the office manager's response was, "I'm sorry you feel upset but Dr. Epstein is one the top doctors..." This may be true that he's very knowledgeable, but he was not nice to me and he should work on his customer service as does the woman that I spoke with. This whole experience has been pretty hurtful. I was actually crying while on the phone to schedule another appointment somewhere else. By the way, at the same time I was speaking to the office manager about my experience, I overheard Dr. Epstein and he seemed very upset as he was very loud. Who knows who else heard about that situation.
The office is dirty and cluttered, all of the equipment is antiquated or substandard, and the staff including the doctor is terrible. Its scary finding a new doctor at 20 weeks pregnant but it's our best option. There's no way we're going back there.
The office is dirty and cluttered, the equipment is antiquated and substandard, and the staff including the doctor is terrible. My fiancé and I are currently looking for another doctor more than half way through her pregnancy.
Facility was very dirty, staff are very unprofessional and abrupt! I had a surgery in his "office surgical center", this was actually a very small and dirty room, I was sent to recover in the office break room where i had the option to lay on the dirty floor or to sit upright in a desk chair!!! unreal! I received terrible and had to have the procedure done a second time by a different doctor. The second experience really confirmed that Dr. Epstein and his team did a terrible job! Very disappointed! Do your homework prior to going to this place, I LEARNED THE HARD WAY!
Be sure to do all of your homework prior to allowing Dr. Epstein or any of his staff come into contact with you. I learned the hard way! The entire experience I has at this office was awful! The office itself is dirty and so clearly needs a good cleaning. The supporting staff is unprofessional and speaks very rude and inappropriately towards the patients.I scheduled a minor surgery (Hysteroscopy) with Dr. Epstine. Dr. Epstine spent about 5 mins talking to me about the procedure and ensured me her did these cases all of the time. I was given ZERO instruction as far as what to do to prepare for the surgery, and following the procedure I was given ZERO instruction on how to care for myself after the procedure and what to expect. Dr. Espstein scheduled me to have the procedure in his "in office surgical center" (also very unsafe for they are not prepared to handle an emergency). This is actually just a very small exam room, that is completely filthy (i have photos), the room was not sterile! Dr. Epstein ensured that I would be put to sleep for the procedure and though he did drug me up I was never asleep for the procedure and felt pain the entire time! The worst part of my experience was after the procedure....He informed myself and my husband that I would be in recovery for about 30-45 mins after the procedure. I was placed in the staff break room on the DIRTY FLOOR (option of sitting in a desk chair),by myself with no observing staff, NO VITALS were checked at this time. My husband picked me up, at the time of departure my husband asked what I should expect and Dr. Epstein expressed that I would have minimal bleeding and should be back to my normal self by the following day. Dr. Epstein nor anyone from his office called to check on me and when I called with questions they were very short with me. I ended up bleeding heavily for 10 days. On my follow up visit Dr. Epstein has NO after pictures to show me that the procedure was successful? This was extremely disappointing. Therefore I had to pay $1,200 to have a follow up HSG test ran. I found out during this test that I needed to have the Hysteroscopy done over again for the polyps that Dr. Epstine was suppose to remove were still in fact in my uterus!!! TALK ABOUT DISAPPOINTING. Not to mention i paid Dr. Epstein $3,000 out of pocket to have this procedure done! I ended up paying an additional $4,500 (plus the $1,200 for images) to have this procedure redone by a more competent doctor.I knew i was not treated well however after having the procedure performed for a second time by a professional and competent Doctor in a regular hospital I then realized how terrible unprofessional, and potentially dangerous my experience with Dr. Epstine really was. I had the second procedure preformed bu Dr. Christie of IVF Florida in Memorial West Hospital. Everything about my experience there was above and beyond. I was provided with a prep (wash) prior to surgery.I was given several bags of fluids prior to surgery.I was given medication to help ease any pain, anxiety, and nausea prior to the procedure.I was in recovery for approx 2 hours where they monitored my vitals, which was very important for my blood pressure was low and needed to be monitored and regulated prior to me leaving.I received discharge instruction with what to expect and what to do in case of an emergency.Dr. Christie spoke to me directly to ensure I was okay, he even called me the following morning to ensure I was okay along with a representative from Memorial West Hospital.MOST IMPORTANTLY I RECEIVED BEFORE AND AFTER IMAGES THAT SHOWED THIS PROCEDURE WAS SUCCESSFUL!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
