My first Lecanto VAMC visit I saw a new primary care physician. Dr. Miranda, is the first VA doctor in 50 years who actually listens to his patients. He helps by ordering proper treatment & not unnecessary treatments. He also o is helping me get my meds by mail, and ordered overdue labwork plus procedures. I'm so glad I moved to Florida for better healthcare. He's very socialable & listens without cutting a patient off. I haven't like a VA physician this much since I was 17 years old in the USMC. Great bedise or desk side manners.

My uncle has been going to Dr. Miranda for years and this whole time he has been complaining of holding fluid. He has COPD, emphysema, and has had previous heart stents. Even I as a doctor would think to check someone's heart who has already existing issues like that and holding fluid. He has never checked his heart or sent him to a cardiologist. Well today he finally collapsed and couldn't breathe. He was taken to the Gainesville ER after stabilizing him. He was diagnosed within hours of being there with congestive heart failure and fluid all over him. They told him this is not new and couldn't figure out how his doctor missed this.
