List of Thomas Wachendorf's Reviews
Not sure why there is such a difference in reviews. My experience was the exact opposite of the one star reviews. He got me set up to receive all of my daily medicine included vitamins. He was engaged and very helpful.
Ever sense Dr. Wachendorf has been at the VA I have nothing but complete confidence in his understanding of my problems. He is above and beyond what I had before he arrived. He very patience and unlike the past VA doctors he lets you explain what your problem is instead of telling you what he thinks is wrong first. He is very through and ask questions in a way a layperson can understand. He never cuts you off in mid sentence as if he can't wait to get you out of the office. He is very understanding and as professional as any doctor can be. I trust him completely and highly recommend him to any and all Veterans. Even his telephone calls are upbeat and he never rushes to end the call. Again he listens to you and then ask questions. A lot of doctors tries to impress you with all their doctor speak, while Dr. Wachendorf works with you on how to fix your ailments as best as he can. He just makes you feel relaxed and conformable and explains what he can do to help you.
I was a patient of Dr. Wachendorf for many years. I presently have Dr. Veder and really like her, she takes time to listen and understands all of my medical issues. She took over as my primary care Doctor when Dr. Wachendorf transferred. He was an excellent Doctor who kept me alive and healthy, in other words he did his job. Give him a little bit of time and don't forget to ask him how he is doing!! Doctors have feelings too. We miss you Doc.
wachendorf was transferred to the panama city beach va facility and assigned a team, upon my first visit he discontinued my chronic pain meds forcing me to rely on nsaids which is damaging to the digestive system, now he tells me I anemic and have blood in my stool and recommends a colonoscopy. The blood in stool in my opinion is because of him forcing my use of nsaids, this man is a poor excuse of a doctor, I will not see him again
This Dr. has been transferred to the Panama City Beach clinic. In reading the reviews one would think he has been transferred because of bad reviews from the naples fl clinic, I have been a patient at the PCB clinic for 15 years and have seen doctors come and go, this one is by far the worse. His only concern is saving the va money by denying patience their earned benefits, he is arrogant and will not respond to question adverse to him. Here at PCB clinic he has the best staff with the best attitude, he will destroy that. He will cause me to pursue choosing only my choice 40 and medicare benefits which will only drive cost higher, both to me and the government.
Possibly the worst caregiver at the Naples CBOC. I say that after having seen them all over the past 11 years. The remaining staff at the center are among the best in the area and we are lucky to have them.
This Doctor is all about his power ,He does not care about the facts if he make up his mind it's his way or the highway. The staff is outstanding but they know not to ask him to reconsider anything

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
