My husband, James, and I have been patients of Dr.Austin for almost 20 years and until two months ago we thought he was a great doctor. We have been calling his offices in both his Mt. Dora and Leesburg offices for two months and no one has ever answered the phone even though we listened to music for 20 minutes at the Mt.Dora office and got a busy signal at the Leesburg office. I ran out of one of my blood pressure medications and even the pharmacy tried to reach him several times to get a refill for me but he never responded to them either. My husband and I , both age 77, very scared and upset. If he has dropped us as patients why haven't we gotten any notice either by e-mail or regular mail to let us know and should have offered us a referral to another doctor that accepts Medicare and United Health Care insurance. Fantastic, caring health provider that listens to his patients. This is unusual in today's medicine where most doctors are rushing through each interview or visit. I have been a patient for over ten years, after retiring as a PA in Orlando, FL.

I've been a patient of Dr. Austin for over ten years, and he's always been very thorough, friendly and caring. He takes the time to listen, and that's rare these days. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I highly recommend him!

We have gone to Dr. Austin for 15 years now. He is a warm and caring Doctor and he keeps up on specialists to refer you to when there is a need. One year I tried another Doctor because I thought I would like a woman better. I came back after a year as that Doctor was self absorbed and did not keep up on my personal health. Many times she didn't even read my file. Really hard to jog as she prescribed when I needed a knee replacement. Dr. Austin is the best family Doctor around in our opinion.

This was a visit to establish a PCP. Wasn’t a bad visit. Seems you’re just number doesn’t matter where you go. Dentist, Doctors, Walgreens. Nothing is personal anymore. Sad.
