Andrew Kontos's Online Review Report Card

I have been seeing Dr. Kontos for almost 12 years. He is patient, caring and extremely knowledgeable. He has a wonderful bedside manor. His office staff is very helpful with making appointments and tries to accommodate everyones needs. I have recommended Dr. Kontos to friends and will continue to do so. I have seen some negative comments on here, but if you are flexible schedule wise then you will not have any problems getting into to see the doctor. You will be in great hands...

He cared about what treatment was right for me. I feel Dr Kontos is a choice for me. He made me feel very comfortable!!

I want to start by saying I feel Dr. Kontos saved my life. He's a great doctor. He caught skin cancer early that surely would have killed me. I have since been devoutly following him and his practice to where ever he moves to seek his expertise since 2011. I even travel to see him as I live in Miami. Sadly, I will no more. His office staff has become so dismissive and unconcerned for the patient's needs in their callous narrow minded administrative process. I no longer feel that I will obtain any real attention or concern to my specific needs. When the office staff takes over and there is no longer any contact with your Doctor, all confidence is lost. Their first objective is to pawn you off to a PA. I go to Kontos for HIS ability and experience to detect life threatening conditions. Not a nurse or assistant. I am an old fart and have seen a lot over the years. This doctor/patient office staff -"business first" issue has developed in more and more practices everywhere.

My appointment with Vanessa Lancaster went very well. She explained a couple of things I had to deal with and took care of them in true fashion. She is very understanding and considerate with her patients.

My visit with Dr. Kontos was a pleasant experience. He has a pleasing personality and a great memory. I hadn't seen him in two and a half years, and he remembered me instantly. My examination was not rushed, and he gave me results that were easy to understand.

I was concerned because I had to have surgery on my nose. Dr. Kontos and is staff put me to ease instantly. Dr. Kontos first set up a consultation where he explained in detail what MOHS surgery was and how the surgery would go. The next meeting he performed the surgery. When I took the bandage off two days later I could barely see where he performed the surgery on my nose. It all healed so quickly. I can’t thank him and his staff enough. They are all professional and so kind and supportive. There’s no one else I’d go to. When I had the sutures taken out, I asked the nurse if I could just see Dr. Kontos to thank him. I’d wait all day just to thank him but right afterwards he walked in to check for himself. So grateful to have him here in Southwest Florida. Thank you!

Friendly staff to welcome you. They warned people as they came in that they were running a little behind schedule, but I was called in 10 minutes after my scheduled time. Doctor Kontos was very welcoming, very knowledgeable , very thorough, and patient. It was an enjoyable experience and it was hard to even see where the surgery happened.
