William Shield's Online Review Report Card

Everyone was vary professional and straight to the point. Only had a few minutes with the doctor,But he looks and sounds like a detailed like me. I’m Sure I’ll have more after he finishes my hip. Hopefully he’s a proud man with pride like I hope he is.

I felt rushed & misunderstood by this dr. He told me that I would need “blood transfusions” if I got a hip replacement. I have kidney disease, however Ive been cleared already by my Nephrologist. Dr. Shield also told me that I don’t know what’s really wrong with me?! Quite rude I would say. I know exactly what’s going on and when each problem started. I only needed him to talk to me about my chronic hip pain that I’ve had for 18 months now. He basically gave me a cortisone shot and sent me away with my cane. I trust Florida Orthopedics much more and will be seeing a surgeon there.

I am very impressed and happy with Dr Shield and the entire staff. They were very kind and thorough in taking care of my needs. I am very confident in the care I received. I highly recommed OMG and Dr Shield.

My 3 rating does in no way reflect on Dr. Shield. He and his medical staff are excellent. Very caring and took the time to listen and answer all my questions. The only negative, which I found very aggravating, is there was only one staff person to check in patients for their appointments gathering demographics, ins info, etc. And there was no one available at check out. She was expected to do it all and was doing a wonderful job!!!!! She should not have to do this. When I completed my appt., which was not doing any lunch hour, I would have been the 7th patient in line to check out while the others appeared to be checking in. I needed to be elsewhere so I did not wait. Now I will have the inconvenience of having to receive a bill rather than pay after my appt.

Dr. William Shield office staff were professional and efficient but the visit I felt was a waist of my time. I left the office with no recommendation or guidance other then see you next year. Dr. Shield did make up for the visit my reviewing the case with a colleague and reconnecting two days later. He was apologetic and explained that he should have done better. He then provided me with a second opinion Dr with more knowledgeable to assist with my sons case. Thank you

Dr Shield kept me informed of what he was going to do and everybody what was happening.Also that Hannah did a great job of explaining how everything that was happening.Overall it was bye far the greatest experience l have had doing surgery and I just want let them know I really appreciate there professionalism and would recommend anyone that needs knee surgery to use them

Overall a great experience. Everything well streamlined and efficient. Good protocols put in place for me. My only complaint being with the anesthetist and the use of pain meds(narcotics) .No one appeared to have listened to the fact I do have allergies with these meds. and have uncomfortable side effects, plus in post op.when I repeatedly said “No more pain meds.” I meant “No more pain meds” Completely satisfied with Dr. Shield, Travis Fann and Hannah. Everyone is always very polite. Office is clean. Dr. Shield is not only a very attractive young man, as are most of the office, but he knows what he is doing. I hope i am not too rude. I am older and speak truths.

Dr. Shields was attentive and understood my concerns and addressed them with me. I did not feel rushed and was happy with the services I received.
