Bruce R. Hoffen's Online Review Report Card

Dr Hoffen has been my neurologist for almost 15 years and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am a complicated case and he has always taken my various issues and medications into consideration when making his suggestions or medications. He has not what always said what I wanted to hear, but what I need to know. I had 1 problem with office staff and called me back to apologize for the problem and resolved it. I have read comments about his demeanor, and want to say he is short and to the point.. He is retiring to go into research and it researcnd it is my loss.

This physician is rude, condescending and I doubt about qualifications. Physician disregard my other physician approach and treatment plan but had none to replace it. I asked "what is your plan for my symptoms? Physician answer "has not plan" Just by reading my MRI written report (has not MRI images) and MRI was requested by a General doctor, stated that the aneurysm was a technician error, so I asked "are you requesting another MRI to confirm results? Physician answer was NO. My second and last visit, since I have several questions, physician told me that will let my Ortho to decide treatment plan. Due to my questioning, physician said that we have a personality issue. I answered that I think was a Ethical issue. This physician is NOT there for the patient (at least not for me, my headaches and brain issues due to a fall going down the stairs)

This Doctor is beyond condescending, he has no interest in being a Doctor of Patients, cares only for his dictation process. If I could give 0 stars I would! I don’t need any generic response either. No problem with staff, as they have to work with this guy.

Dr. Hoffen's care of my Mom was first class. He was attentive, caring and compassionate, and he helped her immensely. Follow up was equally impressive. I highly recommend Dr. Hoffen and his staff.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Staff is disconnected from any needs or concerns of patients, as is the Dr.. Lack of interest in patient issues, nearly impossible to get a call returned, it was hell setting up or changing an appointment. Poor communication when dealing with issues. Sorry, but there is nothing positive to convey.

I wouldn't and couldn't possibly know!!! After sending all of my records to his office I have not been able to get a response from any of his staff to get an appointment. The office is clearly incompetent in every way. I have tried for weeks.

We had almost the same experience as others in this thread. I called to set up an appointment for my husband who had recently gotten out of the hospital and was advised to see a Neurologist for his issues and Alicia, I think that was her name, gave me the same story as given to others. They needed to see all his hospital records and he needed to have a referral from the primary, which we don't need since we have a PPO plan. Now do they really think people will be making appts with Neurologist for no reason!!! The fact that you can't even set up an appt before them receiving your records, WHICH YOU HAVE TO GET FOR THEM, is ludicrous. I'm not going to send any personal medical information to anyone I haven't met or seen, that is strictly against HIPPA guidelines. How are we to know who will be looking at these reports and making the decision of whether the Dr can or cannot see my husband! I can imagine how many patients he is losing because of these unheard of procedures.

I called to set up as a new patient from just moving to the area. The scheduler told me that I couldn't set up an appointment to see the doctor until my previous neurologist sent them all of my records first. I asked if I could set up an appt and get it over to them in the mean time since they are booking over a month out and she told me no. I asked if I were setting up as a new patient with no previous neurologist could I set an appt and she said yes but that I couldn't because I already had a neurologist previously. When I said ok then I will get the info she just hung up on me instead of telling me how to fax over the info. She was extremely rude! I will NEVER go to this doctor. I work in Healthcare and this is not how you grow your business or treat patients. Shame on them. Why would I have my old doctor fax over paperwork to an MD that has never met me and has Zero info on me and not even an appt scheduled?

Dr. Hoffen and his staff were extremely professional and responsive. I was able to schedule my appointment within 1 day, and Dr. Hoffen explained every step of my procedure with clear detail. I was nervous prior to my procedure and Dr. Hoffen and his team made me feel very comfortable. I am very pleased with the entire process and highly recommend Dr. Hoffen as a highly knowledgeable doctor with strong caring and consideration for his patients.

We went to see him and not even 5 min he went in. Did not even help him we his new problem or asked. And the security por people skills.
