John Gernert's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Gernert and his entire staff are excellent. I have a challenging case following over 20 surgeries from an accident and have been very frustrated in the past in attempting to manage my pain with the best quality of life. I know I’ll never be pain free completely, but Dr. Gernert spent time with me to explain several options that would make a significant difference in pain control. Will post an update following the procedure suggested that will work at reducing pain and reducing the dependence on meds with tough side effects. I cannot express how grateful I am for the kind care received both by Dr. Gernert, and the entire staff. 5 stars are not nearly enough.

Being new to Florida, it was difficult to find a practitioner to order my current regimen of medication. With that being said, I truly understand the opiate crisis that swept through the nation in earlier years. Which brings us to the present. The past gross misuse and big pharma soliciting Medications without “harmful effects “ absolutely destroyed hope for people that truly suffer. I was under the pain management care of PRC in Lake Mary, due to new office practices I could no longer stay as a patient. I found Dr. John Gernet and I will say that I’m completely astonished at the utter complete difference of practices. Dr. Gernets office is state of the art, clean and the staff did not look as they just rolled out of bed. Nevertheless, a delight to say the least. I look forward to working with Dr. Gernet to explore more approaches to alleviate chronic pain from many sources. Hats off to Dr.Gernet and his staff.

Dr. Gernert is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and competent. I had to get 2 steroid shots in my back and they were not only quick but I barely felt them. I highly recommend him and his practice.

Dr Gernert is awesome! He helped me through the worst pain of my life. Treatment was fairly painless. The office is beautiful. His staff are wonderful as well! Shout out to Liz, Judy and Kimberly!! You guys were all so helpful. Thanks so much! 😁

Can I give him 10 or 20 stars? Unreal. Very kind. Cared about my pain. He was VERY busy today, but he fit me in. His staff was so awesome, too. He was so professional and personable. I needed injections so bad. He diagnosed it immediately during the exam. He found the tailbone pain where I couldn't. I just knew it hurt so bad. I HIGHLY recommend him. The office is super beautiful and clean. Truly a class act. I am so grateful I found him. I felt like family more than another patient. Thank you!

I was seeing a another local Pain Management Dr for quite a few years. After many disappointments, being lied to, scheduling errors, on and on and on. I had enough. The last time I left the office in tears. My surgery was canceled after I arranged for someone to drive me and stay with me at my home for the week!

He is awesome compassionate and a godly man. I wish we had more physicians like him. He makes you feel at ease explains everything to you in detail. Recommending him is a no-brainer I would 100%!!!!

I was referred to Orlando Pain Centers of Excellence to see Dr. John Gernert by Orlando Neurosurgery.I was once again disappointed that I would have to see another physician. As I have already seen 11 different docs through the years to help with my severe back pain. But the moment I went through the door of Dr. Gernert;s office I felt something different. A peace and hope that I have never experienced in any office before! For me, hope is a big deal! The horrible pain that I have lived with every day for 20+years has taken a very heavy toll on me and especially on my family.Through the years I tried every medication, injection & treatment known and nothing helped. The very 1st visit Dr. G told me he could help me with a spinal cord stimulator. I told Dr. G I was not a candidate and that other docs had tried but had to abandon the scs trial due to my bad spine. Dr G just smiled and said he would get it, and guess what He did! It worked great and now I am mostly pain free! Wow Wow Wow!

Dr. Gernert is a new doctor for me. I've had experiences with other pain management doctors who weren't able to help and told me "there's nothing more I can do for you" or "we'll do that next time", which didn't help me at all. Dr. Gernert never says things like that. He tells me he will do what it takes to improve my situation. He talks with me as though he's known me forever and considers me a friend. What a breath of fresh air! I've even had discussions with him about other health issues that concern me and he's been receptive to advising me with those as well. He has set up his office with soothing colors and a large screen TV with dolphins swimming and other relaxing videos which "soothe the soul". The floors in the office absolutely shine, leaving no doubt about the cleanliness required and appreciated. I always leave feeling good after experiencing a positive visit with Dr. Gernert and his staff, who also are friendly and helpful.

So let me start by saying that it is RARE to find a Dr. that puts his patients well being AHEAD of all else. Dr. John Gernert is top notch. He is attentive and beyond caring and actually listens. He is honest and will go to every length to achieve relief. Dr. Gernert has been exhaustive in his attempts to help me. His care for my health and his compassion is A++++. Apparently, he has a stellar reputation, as every DR I have been in contact with that knows him, holds him in High regard. I have had back & spine issues for a long time. I've had several conditions in my hips, back and lower extremities. I've had several surgeries to the cervical & lumbar portions of my spine, including discectomies, laminectomies, and fusions. Pain is not your friend, but it is a relief to to know that a Dr. like him is there for you. I travel an hour to reach his office in Longwood Fl, but well worth it. You will be hard pressed to find a better pain management doctor. Highly recommended
