List of Malcolm Maclaren Do's Reviews
I could not ask for a better surgeon or experience! I met Dr. MacLaren a day before collarbone surgery and he provided very detailed information about what would happen and answered questions that I had. It was my first surgery and I was nervous, but he wasn't and that helped to make me calm. After surgery, he assured me that I did well and the follow up appointments were always so pleasant. My incision healed beautifully and is really a testament to his skill as a surgeon. He even thanked me for putting my trust in him to perform the procedure I needed. If anyone ever needs an orthopedic surgeon, he is it!
No bed side manner told me he would accept my insurance Florida blue then when it came down to surgery he wanted cash and sent me pre surgery kit gauze and creme for over $2000 Never look me in the face the hole time he examined me very strange
Truly best doctor in the buisness who actually cares about his patients and does not rush you and i love that he gives you option on whats best for the patient would recommend Dr maclaren to all my fam and friends
What time is a joke. Waited over 1 hour and finally walked out. No doctor is that important. Never came to me and said sorry it's taking so long.
Have been trying to get a hold of this office for records for a case that he did for us. It has been over three months and no records have been sent.
I am a nationally recognized Sports Chiropractor that treats professional, collegiate and high school athletes from all the the United States as well as the Medical Director for the Tampa Arena Football team, the Tampa Bay Tornadoes and I only refer my athletes and regular patients to Dr. Maclaren. I not only recommend him, but my wife and I have both been patients of Dr. Maclaren. My wife for a meniscus repair that another Orthopedic surgeon failed to fix and for me it was two shoulder surgeries, to which I have made a full recovery and have full range of motion and continue to compete in all my sports not only on a local level but also a national level. I recently needed to have a displaced meniscus tear taken care of and I called Dr. Maclaren and he immediately got me in took care of it. My result...absolutely no pain, my wife made me take 1 ibuprofen as soon as I awoke from anesthesia and 1 that night and I have had no pain or discomfort and walking as normal three days following the surgery! Compassionate and caring and amazing surgeon!
Dr. Maclaren has treated me multiple times. My wife and daughter have also been patients of his. The staff is personable and friendly. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time explaining the procedure and what to expect post surgery. I highly recommend Dr Mac.
After seeing Dr Maclaren, I left this office hopeless.. it seems he was more interested in my insurance then the problem. I could hear him questioning the nurse about my insurance and my age, no one should be treated in that manner.. the ladies are friendlying. Clean office. Good luck.
Horrible office staff and EXTREMELY RUDE doctor. wow.
I went to Dr. MacLaren as a second opinion because I could not dance and had a prior knee surgery 12 years ago. He assured me that it would turn out great and I would be back to dancing in 4 months. Not only can I not dance, I can barely walk now. The day of surgery, I was bumped from 07:30 to 5:30 at night. Everything went wrong after that. I was immediately full weight bearing, per Dr. MacLaren, but could not walk on the second day. The office told me sarcastically to take my pain meds, which I was already taking. My pain was increasingly worse and after 8 weeks I stopped physical therapy. At 13 weeks I took a witness into my 3rd postop appointment and told Dr. M that my pain was worse now than before the surgery and I was having trouble walking. He did not examine me, but instead gave me a prescription pad with orthopedic surgeons' names on it and left. He then documented that he examined me and that I had no pain. Beware!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
