Peter Ruggiero's Online Review Report Card

I'm not sure why the bad ratings! I love Dr. Pan chip and Alex. I've been to lots of docs and honestly it's hard to find a good one, This office always gets you in the same day if you're sick, on top of calling you back and filling meds and are always pleasant. I prefer the two docs I mentioned but as with any office you have ones you prefer and ones you rather not see regularly. There is lots of parking, it's convenient to get too and overall we have been super happy here!

I have been seeing Dr. Ruggiero for longer than I can remember. He is amazing. He listens and truly "hears" me. He takes the time to explain why I am feeling the way I am and makes sound decisions to resolve any issues. He makes me feel like I am his only patient. His bedside manner is beyond compare. He is brilliant and I am blessed that he is my Dr. His entire staff are the best of the best...always caring and quickly responding to phone calls..the are all amazing!

I had an awful experience with Dr. Ruggiero. I went to him for a rash I had that was severely itching. He barely looked at my skin, gave me steroids to deal with the itching and basically told me to wait it out. I waited...and waited. I returned to his office, where I asked him MANY times if the issue could be a pest control issue, he again barely looked at my skin or irritated areas, charged me testing only for me to self diagnose myself with scabies. Office and staff are unprofessional & rude.

You'd be better off going to a witch doctor than going to the Altamonte Medical Group. I've never felt the need to review anything, but these people's incompetence is dangerous. Run away from this place.

Dr Ruggiero has lost me as an allergy or after over 3 years and a primary care patient. I scheduled an appointment for a wellness checkup. I used that specific term because it's included in my insurance every year. I needed a yearly checkup. As always, as soon as I get there I confirm the cost of the appointment. They told me the amount and I paid it before I left. During my visit with the doctor, I specifically said that I'm there for a wellness checkup. When I checked out, I confirmed with them the total cost and confirmed that it was a wellness checkup visit. Later, I receive a bill in the mail. I called about it and they informed me that I was being charged for the follow up visit. I never had a follow up visit for any of my past visits. So why was I being charged for a follow up visit. I called the office and explained this to them. I told the person to check with the doctor and let me know. I assumed that Dr Ruggiero made an error in notation. I never got a call back, so I expected that it was resolved. Next appointment I show up, they want payment. They informed me that the doctor notated it as a follow up appointment. Due to non payment, even though they never called me back, they sent it to collections. On top of this, they are breaking the law. I changed allergy doctors, and they are withholding my records from the new doctor. I completed the records request form and the new office sent it over and they were denied. It is against the law for any reason other than that the records will cause harm to the patient. The amount they are saying I owe is only $70, but I'm a man of principal!

Dr. Ruggiero was my third try with an allergy doctor for a mystery allergy that was ruining my life (non-stop itching and no sleep) for the last year. Though testing was not successful, the Doctor explained it could be an infinite number of things but in the meantime he would work to manage the symptoms so as to restore my well-being. I am so grateful to him for listening attentively to my story and addressing the issues head-on. He seem to really care to try to restore my quality of life whereas other doctors were indifferent and only wanted to test with appointment after appointment endlessly. Dr. Ruggiero never gave me the impression he was in a hurry but did not linger either, seemingly mindful of his other patients waiting for him. The other doctors kept me waiting for hours whereas his team kept me informed as to what wait to expect, which was never very long. He gave me his full attention, gave me the straight facts about my condition, and explained how to vary his prescriptions until the best results were achieved. My life has been restored to me (I am a pilot) and I have been able to manage my condition to a great degree thanks to this caring and professional man.

A good doctor is hard to find.. a great one is even harder. Luckily I have found an excellent doctor in Ruggiero. I can't say enough wonderful things about him.

I have NEVER been so impressed with a doctor as I was with Dr. Ruggiero. My son suffers from panic attacks and unfortunately had one during his appointment. Dr. Ruggiero was so patient, kind an empathetic. I was so grateful. He gave us 100% of his attention and took his time during the visit. He was compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful. I would give him 10 stars if I could!
