Visited Dr. Chaparro for a second opinion regarding my neck and the inability to move it without excruciating pain. He showed me the spinal cord compressions and advised that even if I did get the spinal injections from the first doctor, I would be ignoring the fact that one small car accident from behind could result in paralysis. I'm so relieved that I chose to go with Dr. Chaparro even though the collar was a "pain in the neck" I recommend him highly!

I work in the healthcare field and I am careful about which doctors I choose for my care & recommendations. Dr. Chaparro was recommended to me by a friend that had a much more complicated condition. She came out a new person and recommended him highly. He did such a thorough assessment and was the only person who ever went through my imaging in such detail. I am so happy to have done this surgery after putting it off for so long. It makes me wish I had found him sooner so that I could have had relief a long time ago. He makes sure his patients are taken care of. The hospital and the staff all know and respect him. Believe me, I asked everyone I knew what they thought of him. Not a single person had a negative comment. Many of the hospital staff had also seen him in the past or knew people that were his patients. He is an excellent surgeon and I will recommend him to anyone that comes my way. He saved my life and if I needed to have surgery with him again, I would. As someone who’s worked in the medical field for 13 years, and worked with many doctors and surgeons… he has a good bedside manner. He treated me with respect and was kind. He will tell it to you straight and that’s what I look for in a doctor. He was not pushy, when I left his office I knew the pros and the cons. He gave me the information that I needed to make an informed decision. Michelle and Liz are a couple of his office staff and they are also really great. I had some last minute things, right before my surgery and the staff was very helpful in helping me get everything sorted out.

I had 2 major accidents at work on two different occasions. I had been in excruciating pain for the last 5 years wondering if I just needed to except the pain. A friend suggested to go see him. After 5 weeks of recovery there is light at the end of the tunnel. I know that I may never be pain free however this is a great start to the new beginning of my life. When 40,000lbs of pressure is put on your back and you don’t die, that’s a miracle. When someone helps you get your life back, that’s marvelous. Stay tuned…

I have had several successful surgeries with Dr Charppio 3 back surgeries 2 SI Joint surgeries I have never ever been so impressed with a dr. He is professional an knows what he is doing 100 % when he walks into a room all the nurses show him the respect he deserves an earned.... He pushed a major surgery on an elderly man that ultimately destroyed & took his life. He took no responsibility and made a ton of money on the surgery as his patient suffered for it.

You read these reviews and wonder if they're legit. Mine is real. For 15yrs my disease progressed and I did everything I could to self-manage: massage/stretching, yoga(hot), acupressure, muscle stim, acupuncture, traction, oral steroids and finally epidurals. When I finally accepted that I was 'broken' and needed to consider the next step my (surgical veterinarian) wife and I interviewed five spine surgeons and fell in love/respect with Dr. C. At our initial consultation he gave us 1.5hrs of his time to review everything I'd done and his current state and future assessment of my condition. Dr. C traded surgical perspectives with my wife and was open to chatting about every option...we settled on the most aggressive: I'm mid-50's, in great health with no (other) pre-existing conditions. With that I was in surgery one week later for cervical and four months later for lumbar. NOTE: less than one year later I hiked into, around and out of the Grand Canyon. All thanks to Dr. C. Legit!!!

I passed out on 3/18 and went into Palms west and the CAT scan I was told is normal. On 3/25 I went back into Palm West for headaches and again I was told the CAT scan was normal , than the ER doctor Madziwa suggested an MRI( she saved my life!!) This is when I met Dr. Chaparro who told me that when I was at Palms West back in 9/2020 there was a tumor on the CAT scan and it was missed and in fact it was missed on my 3/18 and 3/25 visit !!! How ridiculous was that !!!! 3 CAT scans only to find out that Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles could have easily seen my tumor which was the size of a walnut!!!! This also ruined my eye vision and gave me diabetes insipidus!!!! Needless to say a month later I am tumor free to an amazing Surgeon Dr. Chaparro! The nurses @ Palms west are absolutely rude to talk poorly about Dr. Chaparro calling him a cutter and makes a lot of money for the hospital - so all the nurses and doctors should listen to him .this is totally false ! He is a great surge

I went to Doctor Mike for complications for Chiari Malformation. He patiently listened to all my questions, even those taken from a book I read on the subject that escalated all my fears. He could not have explained the surgery I needed better, and my fears were gone. The best news is that he cured me and I have no remaining pain or problems. In fact, it was his understanding of my situation, prompt attention to my care, and excellent surgical procedures that led to this cure. His follow up care could not be better as he takes all the time I need to understand exactly what took place in the surgery, and how much better everything works now, as a result! He also discovered an other underlying condition (non-related) that he is closely monitoring. I trusted this man with my life, my quality of life, and I would do it again - and probably will. He is as caring and personable, as he is excellent and skilled.
