Based on a total of 30mins of consult "conversations" he has with me as a patient while admitted to the hospital (no surgery required). My insurance company and me personally have been invoiced by him in the amount of $9800. With two charges for the same "conversation". Have also received separate invoices representing him from MGH Surgical Care in Florida. The charges and invoicing is excessive and abusive considering the services actually provided. I would not recommend Dr. Alen Babakhani as your surgeon.

I never met the guy. Had an emergency gallbladder removal, in hospital and with surgeon in my network. He was called in as an assistant, apparently. He’s not in my network, I was charged $20k out of pocket.

Dr. Babakhani saved my life after another Doctor had damaged my intestines. I am forever grateful that he performed my surgery, excellent surgeon. He has a great bedside manner.

Dr Babakhani did a gallbladder surgery on my husband in August 2016. My husband was admitted to Florida hospital for 5 days. The doctor never mentioned that they do not contract with BCBS during his 5 minute $3500.00 consult. The Dr said that he would put a few stitches in a lower abdominal hernia for a temporary fix since he was already going to be in there. BCBS pd them less than a $1000. He charged for 2 FULL surgeries for himself AND 2 for ASSISTANT! ($35,500.OO EACH). OUR BALANCE $74,000.00

Dr. Babakhani is an excellent knowledgeable surgeon, has performed surgery on both grandparents. Hope I never need surgery, but he would be the only one. He is the package deal in a doctor, excellent bed side manner, the best in the business. Your in good hands with this surgeon..
