List of Childrens Medical Center - Lutz's Reviews
I am usually not someone to write reviews especially when I called up and spoke to a manager but since I did not get a call from Mike to follow up (it's been a week) as told by Lisa the manager of the office here I am. I had an absolute terrible experience with Doctor Leighann Riemer. I usually have good experiences with her but I think the day I got her she wasn't having a good day and I am still extremely upset about it. I brought my son in to have his ears examined since he has had multiple ear infections and I have a concern that there's something else going on hearing wise with him. We are doing the steps to investigate but due to the fact he was congested and tugging on his ears I suspected an ear infection. The only reason I came in was to have my sons ears examined. I repeat the ONLY reason I came in was to have my son's ear's examined. I already had my check up previously a few weeks ago with Dr. Farooqi who is an amazing physician and gives excellent bedside manner. There are ways to communicate concerns and she does an excellent job. We love her. Dr. Riemer on the other hand, I've never had an issue before, we have kids the same age and have discussed similarities to relate. However, this time I still can't believe the experience I had. I was dismissed of my son's ears and was flat out told "his ears are fine, he's autistic". I showed the hearing test to show that he failed his tympanogram, again dismissed and was told he failed it because he couldn't sit still because he's autistic. "I am looking at him right now and what he is doing is because he's autistic". He was dancing. He's 2. Also to make sure I let the dentist know my son is "special needs" before going into the appointment that we had in a few days. I think the deliverance of this so called "diagnosis" was not right. Could he be autistic? I am not denying the fact I am denying the fact that that wasn't the right time I wasn't asking for an opinion of that I was just asking to have his ears checked. Also, a pediatrician isn't legally allowed to diagnose a child as autistic without a test. A developmental pediatrician is the one to do that. I came in with one concern and left hysterically crying. It was the deliverance. The terrible bedside manner. I came in for his ears. It was the attitude. It was the judgment. It was absolutely terrible. Dr. Riemer I know you wouldn't want someone to treat your child like that, shame on you. I just wanted you to know how badly you truly affected this family and maybe you will be a little bit better with your words to other patients. It's their life it's their children's life, its not just some everyday thing. I wish I could of told you this in person after what was said but I was in utter shock leaving. Everyone I have told of this story can not get over the way we were treated.
I like it here
My child has been going here since she was born so that’s over 2 years. There’s been several issues and the lates, we’ve decided to go to another doctor’s office. The billing manager is very rude and i don’t know how she’s even employed as a manager to begin with. If you want your child in the best care possible, with a facility that truly cares about your child’s wellbeing, DO NOT GO HERE!
We just switched from Sandhill Pediatrics to this clinic and we are SO happy!! Dr.Riemer was so sweet and great with our son, and I feel very comfortable having her as our primary care for him. The front staff is easy to work with and friendly. The nurse was also very nice and welcoming. Overall we are happy we found the right clinic for us! My son loved the little airplane toy he got after his appointment as a reward ☺️
The Palm Harbor office was great in 2019 and 2020. I came back and started with the Lutz location in 2023 for 6 months they told me they will give me referrals I never got one. My child is having an allergy issue to foods I believe it’s gluten I was told I’d get a referral 3 months ago for that it’s still has not been done and we have military insurance. See how the Military is treated by these people. Then my child has urinary issues first they said it’s behavior, then they said it’s constipation, now six months later I have not been referred to a pediatric urologist. My child has had UTI issues 1 year. I gave my child miralax for a month still the same issue. I keep giving money to them getting no results. I came here with a physical that I had got from the military a month prior they refused to fill out the FL physical sheet they said they want me to pay for another physical. Yet we paid for an office visit. How do I get help for my child as a mom. Maybe it’s only about the money not making sure my baby is healthy. My kid has a cough for over a month no help. People think I’m not taking her to the doctor but I do and get the response kids can have a lingering cough after being sick. I need the head doctor of this practice to contact me I asked they said it can’t be done. It was refused.
Worst they give me stress and anxiety but good place to go it is nice and clean
We Love Dr Farooqi. The office staff is inviting and friendly too.
Dr. Farooqi always makes me and my daughter feel super welcome. She has seen my daughter almost since she was born at the Trinity location, but once she moved to lutz, I couldn't lose her, so the 45-minute drive is worth it. I plan to take my little one that is coming in less than a month to her. I highly recommend this practice.
One of the best pediatric offices I been to dr farooqi is sweet attentive and caring you can tell she loves her job and loves the kids they are clean quiet and get the job done quickly I never had to wait for more than 5 mins is usually in an out and is never to crowded . I am from Miami and have a 9 year old so been been thru a couple pediatricians none compeared to her she's amazing
My 4 year old was complaining of UTI pain, took her in, dr said every symptom was uti (she's had these before) and that she would treat with cefdinir, I asked she be put on amoxicillin instead as she reacts bad to that. When she came back in she said "I'm actually not going to prescribe anything now, sometimes kids just say that". So now I'm having to take her somewhere else to be treated, the week of Christmas mind you. Im very upset, and its VERY hard to get an appt with NPCMC anyways. I would go elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
