He is rude. I cannot believe that he is able to practice in the medical field with that attitude. Plus be very careful if you are sent there for work comp he works for insurance company don't matter what is wrong with you. This man that told me to my face that herniated disc and bulging discs are normal he is a joke in every aspect of the word. I will definitely be filing a complaint with the medical board license of Florida against him and letting know the workman's comp division that he is a pathetic person in human being. Literally lifted my leg up so far to the point where when I got to my car I was in tear. ridiculouss

I have been going to Dr Companioni for years and my mother went to him before me. He has been the most amazing Dr for my whole family. His staff is always friendly and efficient. My son in law was injured In a ski accident and was told by another dr he would not be able to work as a fireman again and needed immediate surgery. I told him to go see Dr C and he saved his career and livelihood! I would and do recommend him to all my family and friends!! Don’t know what I would have done without him!

WORST DOCTOR EVER AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Can't state reasons at this time due to ongoing lawsuits.

Dr Companioni is an excellent physician! He is personable, professional and competent. I thought I would need an MRI for my recent problem but he was able to diagnose me with and in office XRay and exam alone. I recommend him to everyone I know! Do yourself a favor and chose him as your doc!

HE ONLY GETS ONE STAR BECAUSE ITS REQUIRED, OTHERWISE THIS GUY WOULDN'T GET A THING. As a nurse, I wonder where this guy's ethics have gone. I wonder how he can lay his head down at night, because he sure doesn't have the patient in mind, he definitely works for the workman's comp insurance companies who send him the very patients who keep him open. As a nurse of 20+ years, I have worked in various settings. I have worked in healthcare for a total of of 25+ years and I say this to verify that I have some EXPERIENCE to share. When we walked in, I immediately knew he would have the typical attitude of a workman's comp doctor because the horrible appearance of his location gives off the attitude that he doesn't want to put any money anywhere but his pocket. From the parking lot, to his low paid, low educated staff, to the waiting room and the paper signs all over his office, he demonstrates his lack of care. He serves low income patients, because typically "doctors"(and I use this term lightly for this character) of this caliber don't have the skill, people skills or care to deal with more educated people who would give him an actual challenge. This is because GOD COMPLEX doctors, do not like to be questioned. He carries the demeanor of pride on his chest and gives off the attitude that "I am God and don't question me"; which is what guys like him who are lacking in self esteem have. He speaks from this place of false authority and speaks down to the patient and family. When I asked a question on my husband's behalf, he spun around, because he tried to pretend that I didn't exist when he walked into the room and was clearly, visibly irritated that I was questioning him. He doesn't stand in the room longer than a minute or two, never sits down and he doesn't collect a history, doesn't ask the patient if they can do their typical work related activities and speaks in a condescending attitude. I told him that my husband worked with a hammer drill everyday on his job and he couldn't pick it up. Since his injury, my husband has lost grip strength while in physical therapy and I told him that, because he surely didn't review any notes or confer with physical therapy to see his progression. A customer shook my husband's hand and about put him to the ground and that was two months ago. He can barely hold a cup. He told my husband, he didn't need any physical therapy because that doesn't help, didn't need a cortisone injection because that doesn't help and basically said I will give you a website and you can do your own physical therapy at home. And this guy released him back to work....oh but he didn't tell us that yesterday, heard that from the workman's comp nurse today. My husband will not be able to do his job....this man needs to realize that he is affecting people's livelihoods. He needs a wake up call that most people are not trying to get out of work, but that attitude is almost always given to every workman's comp patient I have witnessed physicians deal with in my 25+ years of experience. Something has to change in healthcare. These attitudes towards the lives you SERVE has to change. YES YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SERVE THE PATIENT....NOT MAMMON! THIS IS WHAT SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE LOOKS LIKE. I hope this review is a wake up call for this guy. I hope YOUR livelihood is affected one day for every patient that you have recklessly threw to the wayside, to work on the side of WORKMAN'S COMP. I hope that you suffer from the same injuries that you expect people to work through. I hope that you are shook awake and start serving the very people who you took an oath to serve. COCKY and PRIDEFUL always cause the fall.

A While back I injured my left shoulder due to extreme work out. Surgery that Dr. George Comoanioni performed went well healing along with physical therapy my shoulder went to 95% to the point to get back in the gym. 2yrs. Later trying to break out of a workout plato, I injured my lower back L4 and L5. Again Dr. Comoanioni performed a Lamenectomy, and it was successful to again a 95% going back to gym after healing and physical therapy. I will continue to recommend Dr. George Companioni.

The high star reviews on here are fake. This doctor is the worst human being in Tampa Bay practicing medicine. He won't even close the door because he is in such a hurry to collect money from the insurance to tell you there is nothing wrong. 10 herniations in an MRI, and I was told "there is no sense in trying to track down your issue". He is a horrible doctor and will live up to his reviews here. Be smart and hire an attorney if you are forced to see him for workers comp.

Towards the beginning of this year, I tripped, fell and hurt my knee. Dr. Companioni ordered an MRI. Turns out I had a torn meniscus. I finally decided on surgery in May. It was quick, easy, and completely successful. If anything, my knee feels BETTER than it did before I injured it. I would recommend Dr. Companioni, he is kind, considerate, and effective.
