Eric Kaplan's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Kaplan has been a life changer for me. I was admitted to an inpatient facility and he was able to see me on the first day I was admitted. He means business. He is a bit dry and would cut me off sometimes and at the time it put me off, but looking back he just wanted straight answers and he knows how to get answers without spending too much time on a particular topic. I've actually been searching for his practice and I will be reaching out to set up an appointment with him. He is my first psychiatrist and of all the ones who have seen me, he is my favorite. I recommend him.

He’s a pill pusher and does not communicate. No idea how he’s rated so highly. Disgraceful.

I’ve reached out to this provider 4 times and left multiple voicemails and my email for him to contact me. My psychologist has reached out to him as he was highly recommended by her practice. The nerve to charge so much money and be so cheap over staff is so obnoxious and charging that much money in mental health is robbery if you’re this unhelpful. I should not have to play phone tag with my provider.Patients have a hard enough time advocating for themselves and this is beyond ridiculous.

He understood what I am dealing with. Extremely helpful and understanding.

Dr. Kaplan is a very caring, professional, down to earth doctor. He takes the time to talk with you, and is very knowledgeable in the field of forensic psychiatry. He is also well respected by other physicians in the Tampa Bay area. I would highly recommend him.

Dr.Kaplan is always on time, and time is always accounted for during my appointment . He didn’t need my self diagnosis to help me. I’m having great success with Dr. Kaplan. So much, that I’m passing free VA! Dr. Kaplan, “the man with the plan”

I have seen Dr Kaplan for almost 2 years. During my first appointment almost 2 years ago I had concerns about possibly having ADHD, along with some other things. He immediately assumed I did not have it because I am a successful student. It was not until about two months ago that I was able to get the diagnosis and medication I actually needed. I feel like my concerns are never completely addressed, and I feel like I am being talked down to a lot of the time. Dr Kaplan comes off condescending. I also get the sense that he is one of those psychiatrists that just wants to pump people full of pharmaceuticals. Also, he is horrible at communication. I had to call him half a dozen times to get one of my medications refilled last month. Despite this, the last time I missed one of his phone calls between appointments he had the audacity to say "I wish you'd pick up your phone." While he has been helpful in some regards, I do not recommend him.
