Very professional but a better human being...
I was scheduled for a follow up at 10:30 this morning. They made a mistake and scheduled me at a different office but they still refused to see us. This follow up was for a SEIZURE that my ONE year old daughter had a couple days ago. They clearly do not care about the well being of their patients. Extremely disappointed because I really liked NP Gabby. No apologies, just unempathetic "We can't see her, we are booked." I am truly shocked they are able to do this given the situation.
My kids have seen Dr. Hartman for 8 years and she's a wonderful doctor. But this office is a joke. I called the office to ask about my kid's immunization record because my kid's school suddenly started bugging me saying that her immunization record is not complete. Someone finally took my call after many rings and put me on hold. I waited for more than 15 mins and hang up.By the way, a few years ago, after an annual visit with some vaccination, I got a immunization report for my kid. When I got home I noticed it was someone else's. When I contacted them to get my own child's record, I was asked by someone in the higher position to discard the someone else's record given to me. I should have kept it and reported it to somewhere so this office could be forced to fix their problems.
Yesterday, my sister and I were there for her son's appointment. The doctor and nurses were wonderful, but I was surprised by the no seating arrangements in the waiting area. I saw a few moms and kids were standing, while some had to resort to sitting on the floor while waiting for their turn. Even my sister and I, with a 6-week-old baby, had to stand for at least 10 minutes before being called by the nurse or doctor. I'm not sure why this is the case, but it's clear that a solution needs to be implemented soon.
The medical providers including the nurses and medical assistants are wonderful at this location but be prepared to sit in your car waiting to be called into the office because there is no waiting room. They require all patients to wait in cars, which is not enjoyable if you have a child or children that do not like being in car seats for a long time. I'm ready for them to allow patients back into the waiting room like all other doctors offices.
Dr. Perea is an amazing, compassionate a knowledgeable pediatrician. My kids love going to her even when they don't feel good.
Dr. Hartman is very nice and always take good care of our concerns with my 2 year old daughter.
I'd like to start by saying all the staff is so kind and helpful. Doctors are sweet knowledgeable. So I'd give 5 stars for that. BUT !!!!!!!!!! Our first newborn visit was a bit rough when it came to our personal choice to not give immunizations ( I understand it is the policy and we are grateful they accepted us as temporary patients after the birth of our baby and even gave us time to find a different pediatrician and never turned our son down for his first three wellness visits). My bad experience was the first newborn visit where I felt I'm being peer pressured into giving my newborn shots. I was told my child "MAY DIE" because I didn't want to give him certain shots. I don't think it's a wise choice of words to a postpartum mother. I understand as a physician it's their duty to ensure that diseases that have been eradicated and are deadly could potentially harm those who aren't immune to them as well as pose a threat to those with other illnesses. Being told my child will die from meningitis is just cruel. Being told that as a new mom few days postpartum is awful. So let this be a warning. The clinic DOES NOT see patients who aren't vaccinated. You may walk out of there crying your eyes out like I did. It's not their job to make choices for you as a parent and they should NEVER scold parents for making choices right for their child. I truly hope this doctor reconsidered her choice of words to the next new mom and baby.
I love Doctor Hartmann, she has been my doctor since I was very little, and she is always so accommodating and down to earth. The receptionists however, are extremely rude and have talked down to me multiple times on the phone. Whenever I check their behavior, their tone is more respectful, but I should not have to deal with their attitude in the first place. Not only do they put you on hold for more than fifteen minutes at a time, but they question your ability to make assertions or requests for yourself. One claimed I should not be making a sick appointment before my wellness appointment (when I have a wellness appointment scheduled already), and she questioned why I was making the appointment multiple times with a very rude tone. She also questioned my diagnosis as if it was completely out of the blue and never been addressed with my doctor before. I dread calling them and reaching out. Very disappointing. Hire down to earth staff that care about patients, are accomodating and can do the bare minimum of making appointments.
We love Nurse Gabby. She is so kind and knowledgeable. We have enjoyed all appointments with her and her MAs.
