Vascular Surgeon Lutz Florida's Online Review Report Card

I thought I had finally found the right doctor. I waited over 1 month for this appointment. I provided my insurance information at the time of scheduling. As a co-pay patient, the front desk receptionist pointed out something new to me about coinsurance. They could have called and brought this to my attention in advance rather than waiting until the day of and expecting someone to have such a large sum of money. There is absolutely no empathy shown. The front desk clerk asked, "So what do you want to do? I wanted her to do a lot, but I didn't have the energy or time to argue with her. I told her to cancel the appointment and I wouldn't be back. This literally had me in tears. Having driven an hour to get here, was not able to be seen, was still in pain, and was not explained they bill a different way, someone else could have had the appointment that day instead of me. Alternatively, I could have found another doctor. The entire month or so has been wasted.

Not good bedside manner. Not thorough and rushed through my appointments. Also had me get ultrasounds and then told me it’s really hard to see what’s going on with these types of ultrasounds (in general). Seems like a bit of a scam to have me do them then,if you can’t really read them. Anyway, I am going for a second opinion and will follow up once I get information from the other doctor. Wasn’t too impressed with the entire staff…very lackadaisical. Didn’t seem to take anything really serious.

On April 3, 2023 I was welcomed by a very nice Nurse, Ms. Crystal. She explained in a very precise and professional manner what the procedure would be. She inspired trust and calmed me . During procedure was very attentive towards making sure I was comfortable and also monitored my glucose levels. Her efficiency and professionalism shines through her labor of love. Ms. Crystal you are an asset to V & V Institute, a lovely Angel I happened to encounter and together with Dr. Jones, you have my appreciation and Gratitude. I was bleesed with two Angels caring over me.

Dr. Kerr has the worst bedside manner, I have encountered. He barely spoke to me during my visits. He is incredibly and undeniably pompous. He definitely, needs re-training in dealing with patients. His staff however, is wonderful! The new Front Desk Clerk is super nice and Gabe is awesome.

Unfortunate encounter at this place. I wish I didn't have to come here, but we had no choice due to insurance coverage. The ultrasound tech was rude. They would not let me in to translate for my family memberbut the US person said she'll "find a way to get by" wow... get by?? Really? Do you get by when you go to the doctor's appointment?? I'm sure you would not want your family member to be treated this way.

The doctors and staff put their heart into all they do. Thank you Dr.Wright and Chris for all of your help and attention.

Been going to this office for years and have always left with the same bad impression. I have very painful veins that have never been properly treated. Every time I go there is for ultrasounds that they say are needed but they have never really treated me properly and a very disinterested consultation with the doctor. Last November 2021 the doctor was about to leave the room without giving me resolution or course of treatment for my very painful and visible varicose vein. When I ask him about a foam treatment he responds "ah, yes, we could do that, ask the front desk to give you more information". Seriously? he could not even explain to me what that was about? The front desk tells me they would run it through insurance and call me to give me a quote and schedule the appointment. Today is June 3 2022. I have called more than 5 times and they all tell me that my insurance did cover the procedure and the finance department would call me. I have been to the office twice as well with the same response. I really hope they do not treat patients with more serious conditions the same way but I am surely going to find another doctor.

All about money, everyone has an attitude in there as well. Dr. Kenneth Wright will spend 2 minutes with you, and you can tell you're just a bar code dollar sign to him. If you want to put your life in his hands that doesn't see you as a person then go right ahead.

Dr. Kerr saved my life! I had been to many doctors before going to the Vein & Vascular institute and none of them could figure out what was wrong with me. Instead of sending me away he went the extra steps to figure it out. The entire staff is friendly and professional and I would highly recommend then.

Everyone at this office is so helpful. Allyson in ultrasound was great, she answered all of my questions and got me in and out super quickly.
