I value my cardio well-being, therefore I will NEVER go to this Dr. again. I was diagnosed with CAD after suffering 2 heart attacks at a young age, one of which damaged my heart. I had two stents implanted, and was instructed by my now retired, yet highly regarded Cardiologist that I would have to take medication and have a cardio stress test annually for the rest of my life. Searching for a new cardiologist, I decided to try Dr. Patel in Baker County, FL. This doctor had the audacity to tell me that I had no heart damage AND that I did not need my medication because the guidelines had changed. I insisted that he fill my medication anyway, which he did. He "listened" to my heart, lungs, aorta, groin area, and carotid arteries and told me everything sounded fine. I asked about my annual stress test. He said everything was fine, and that I did not need a stress test to come back in a year. Well, a year later I chose a different Cardiologists and am now diagnosed with 40% blockage in my aorta and both iliac arteries! Atherosclerotic plaque does not become that advanced in a year! Since I did not trust him I should have listened to my gut and set up a 2nd opinion immediately but I convinced myself that I was just overthinking it. That was a big mistake and a hard lesson learned. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE.
He wrote me 3 prescriptions but only remembers 2 ??

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
