Anthony Douglas's Online Review Report Card

As of about February 2022 Dr Douglas has retired. I had been a patient of Dr Douglas for over 10 years as my PCP. I always had a good rapport with the doctor and his staff - 5 stars. I was very sad to learn he was retiring and going to stop practicing medicine. The doctor who took over Dr Douglas practice is a family doctor - Gurpawan Dhaliwal - I visited with him once and have decided to find another Internal Medicine primary care doctor. I suggest this listing for Dr Douglas be removed which is why I rated ONE STAR

Maybe those who are wanting to go to this practice will NOW have an opening. Initially had pleasant experiences as my PCP until my bout with aggressive stage 3 lymphoma. Now my current pharmaceutical needs (which drastically changed after my cancer diagnosis) will not be supplied as Dr Douglas believes I need a psychiatrist. Even tho an extremely well qualified hospitalist at Advent altamonte who thoughtfully supplied this very delicate, well balanced blend of pain killers and anti anxiety medicines (post chemotherapy). So I've been booted out and now there is an opening but be warned, if your medical condition is rare (like mine) with a severe case of ankylosing spondylitis and recovering from very aggressive hospital monitored chemotherapy you will NOT be taken care of, shunned to a psychiatrist! I'm extremely saddened And disappointed with the morals of Dr Douglas. 😑

I can't speak on how good the doctor is cuz I haven't even seen him yet I'm a new patient and this office is very unprofessional especially the office manager very rude and disrespectful telling me that I scheduled an appointment on Advent health website wrong when there's only one way to schedule it you select new patient recurring patient or yearly physical I scheduled new appointment and it let me scheduled for January 11th at 9:00 a.m. in the morning I got a call telling me that that schedule was not a new patient slot that the doctor needed more time and I tried to explain to the manager that this is not my problem I've been trying to get an appointment for over a year with this doctor she proceeded to say that I was rude and canceled all my future appointments I will be making a complaint against this office with Advent health I will get the last laugh trust me on that messing with the wrong one!!!

Been a patient several years and had been quite happy with Dr Douglas. This year I had to move my appointment for my annual physical and was told it would be at least 10 months before they could fit me in. No attempt to work me in earlier. Not what I consider good customer service! I hate to move on but doesn't look like I have too many options.

Do not recommend…your a number not a patient. So very sad the medical drs have become this way. If your medical problem becomes advanced or difficult he will let you go with no warning.

Thought this Doctor was great, had been going to him for years. Even referred a ton on people to him. And when I voiced displeasure on having to wait over a year to book an appointment and that I might need to look for another doctor they send me a letter saying they are terminating our relationship. I heard that doctors were doing this as they can get more money from patients willing to pay cash and not go through insurance so they are ditching old patients. I just didn't think this guy was like that. Well you live and learn. No phone call from the doctor just a letter. Sad and disappointing. I will not be referring anyone else that is for sure.

This is the best practice!! The customer service is fabulous. This practice runs the appointments on time. My family goes to Dr. Douglas and loves the caring service they provide. The office staff takes care of issues immediately and we have always got a quick response. Thank you to each and every one of the staff!!

There is no better Doctor or staff In Florida. Hands down. NONE

Today I went for my yearly checkup. Anthony Douglas is a most impressive physician; his manner and disposition is very professional. I appreciate his examination and advice.

ZERO STARS. Stay away from "Dr. Douglas" and his "nurse." He was my GP for several years prior to a work injury, a fall down metal stairs. Everything he did and told me was the OPPOSITE of what should've been done. Ended up in the hospital for 5 days after a wound opened when he took out stitches and his "treatment" lead to infection that could've killed me. Would not take a dog to this guy. What kind of DR can't spot infection?? My Ortho sent me to the hospital, and the Ortho wasn't great either; missing 2 fractures now mal-healed. Please do NOT TRUST this so-called DR.
