Let's start with what looked like would have been good--the therapist that evaluated my child seemed very relatable and professional. That one star is for her. However, this establishment seems to have no problem preying on vulnerable clients at their lowest point in life. Only the most desperate parents seek ABA services. What happened to us was that they falsely advertised that they provide at-home services. Not knowing the quality or lack of quality of their services, the only reason that we selected them was because they promised we will get at-home services. We asked this particular question a number of times and each time they answered that the services will be at-home. So, we drove for the evaluation taking time off from work thinking that it would be the last time we drive there. But, right after evaluation they refused to do at-home services. That would have been fine except that now they want us to pay for the evaluation. Now, we have to look for another provider and pay for evaluation there too? We have enough problems as it is.
The kids are great, and the work is very meaningful, but I would not suggest working here or sending your child to ABA services. The high turnover rate of therapists and other employees resigning (as well as being unjustly fired) means many children receiving services have unstable and unpredictable schedules and providers. They will take on more clients without having the proper resources for these clients, putting both clients and employees in unethical and harmful situations. Leadership does not have their employees or clients’ best interests in mind. If you’re looking for an ABA company for your child or employeement, DO NOT CHOOSE BREAKTHROUGH.
Very bad experience. I had specific requirements of only certain hours since our child was going to school, which was mentioned before starting the process. They did evaluation and we had to pay the whole amount coz of high deductible. They did not have a therapist and was not willing to work with us, was pushing for longer hours. So unethical.
6 months ago, I wrote quite a harsh review about the customer service at Breakthrough Behavior. Indeed, I did have a rocky start with the initial set up/ office procedures / communication involving insurance, etc... However, we decided to stick with it and I'm so glad we did. My daughter has been getting ABA therapy for just about 6 months and we can see massive improvement. The therapists are really dedicated and they have really detailed plans and systems that give the parents a lot of confidence in their work (even for someone like me who really had no clue what ABA therapy was). I can only say thank you and I am so glad. We applied to a charter school around the same time we started ABA but got waitlisted. We finally got acceptance into the charter school (which we've been hopefully waiting for). But we decided to continue with the ABA therapy instead of enroll her, because we have so much confidence in the program now that we understand what it is and how it's contributed to our lives. Thank you so all the therapists and supervisors.
This is a great place to work. I have met some wonderful friends. Everyone is dedicated to helping the customer. Miss them all!
This company is not on the up and up. They are billing without attaining authorizations and starting you on a schedule without know if you child will be approved. This is worrying, what if the child isn’t approved? Or for the hours your scheduling them for. Your staff seems very hesitant on answering questions that seem ethical. The Owner is very desperate for clientele. The cover of this place is fuzzy but nothing about it is warm and fuzzy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
