I was billed for an emergency room visit. The hospital copied my insurance card and driver's license. However, this was not the address that the Florida Emergency Physicians used to bill me. Instead they used an address from 20 years ago. Since I did not receive the bill, it was sent to collections. Later the phone calls started. This is where I learned of the debt. When I asked why the old address was used, I was told that it was the address on file with the hospital. I knew this was not the case since I have never been hospitalized until this year, and have not been at the address used by the physicians" group for more than 20 years. I verified with hospital my current address. My thought is that the physicians' group automatically sends all of the billing to collections. This must be standard practice, because since then I have found two other groups have sent me to collections, all because of a wrong address. Not okay!

Very attentive, competent, personable. He spent time talking and listening. It felt more like having a beer with a buddy than the usual experience of being ignored in a 2 minute visit. Great doctor, great guy.
