MIchael Hwang's Online Review Report Card

Answered all of our questions, and we had a lot! He is the first radiologist I've had sit down and counsel with me and the ladies working there are so nice, very friendly.

Went to Dr. Hwang for a breast biopsy. You can imagine all the thoughts racing through my mind prior to my procedure. Do I have breast cancer?? What about my implants? I was extremely anxious and on the verge of a meltdown, when this kind doctor walked in. His warm demeanor and genuine concern immediately put me at ease. He listened to me and explained everything he was going to do. The procedure itself was a piece of cake, with little pain and great healing. But what made the BIG difference for me was his bedside manner. I’ve seen a lot of doctors throughout my lifetime and he is one in a million. I cannot thank Dr. Hwang enough for that important moment in time for me - you made a difference in my life ??

I am writing this review for my mother who speaks little English. Dr Hwang allowed me to stay in the procedure room with my mother during the biopsies. My mother says she was happy that he spoke at least a little Spanish to her throughout and that he smiled a lot. It made all the difference in calming her anxiety. I watched him use these sharp needles from his tray and she tells me she didn't feel any of them which was surprising to me. I asked him a lot of questions and he gave in depth explanations. Would recommend him to others.

Worst experience of my life. Michael Hwang performed an MRI guided core needle biopsy. This procedure was described to me as uncomfortable, but I would be injected with lidocaine to numb the area and should only feel pressure. I felt like this doctor rushed through the procedure because he was an hour behind schedule. He injected me with lidocaine and immediately started gauging out breast tissue. The pain was horrendous. I asked him if I was supposed to feel so much pain, he said I was just feeling pressure. I mentioned the pain a second time saying I didn't think the lidocaine was working. His response again was about pressure. The third time I told him he needed to stop because I wasn't numb and I couldn't handle any more PAIN. "I'm almost done" was his answer. When I got up from the table I was shaking from the pain. My entire breast was bruised & swollen, the biopsy site bled well past midnight. Would never recommend this Dr. I feel his inflated ego will cause him to do more harm.

Dr. Hwang is amazing! And so is Karen.... Very blessed to be taken cared by such caring doctor and technician. I wish them well and success in all their endeavours.

I normally don’t write reviews but this experience left me wanting to comment. I was terrified awaiting my biopsy. Dr. Hwang is a blessing. He talked me through the entire procedure. He was knowledgeable, kind, gentle, and very compassionate. He made the experience more bearable which was not an easy thing to do. I highly recommend Dr. Hwang if you are in the unfortunate need of such a visit.

Positive experience and a great doctor. His ultrasound tech (terrible of me but I forget her name) was very thorough in explaining everything before he came in too.

Dr Hwang was so sweet during my appointment. My biopsy was quick and PAINLESS. I had a biopsy of my other breast with a different doctor many years ago before I moved and I wish it would have been this easy last time!

He was very personable and knowledgeable. Have already recommended him to my friends and family. Since I have a family history of breast cancer, I was anxious going in. He talked me through everything with a smile. Should I need any future visits, we will be requesting Dr Hwang.
