Dr Gold about 20 years ago underwent Surgery with me & clipped my #4 cranial nerve which was causing my eyes to overlap leading to cross vision due to an auto accident. I never really thanked him for helping me & now that I’m taking my grandfather to optometrist, I couldn’t think of a better eye doctor or person to recommend for his eyes. Dr Gold is amazing & thank you sir, now 23 years later & im still much better. Bless you!

Dr.Robert Gold give me back my vision back, doing a muscle eye surgery. The surgery was a success and the post- surgery was fast and good. I will be forever grateful for he's great job. And I recommend him always.

Dr. Gold and his team are awesome! My daughter had bilateral eye surgery for muscle repair and they were so kind and on point! Prior to surgery I made sure all bases were covered, before jumping to the surgery route. Dr. Gold answered ALL my questions very gently not rushing like most doctors do! Even the day of surgery he answered more questions and made sure I was so happy and comfortable. He came out after surgery personally to speak with my husband and I! He also called personally the day after surgery to make sure she was doing ok! I don’t really write reviews but this is the least I can say about him and his team. And a huge shoutout to the Maitland Surgery Center they were so friendly and welcoming at 6am everyone was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. I’m so grateful that I chose them!!! Thank you so much 😊

PLEASE READ! I came in today with my 10 & 4 year old son's. My 4 year year old is autistic and non verbal. Do to the negative reviews I was a little nervous going in but I came here to say my experience was the exact opposite of those 1 star reviews. Dr. Gold, Pam and all the staff were FANTASTIC! So professional and made me feel so comfortable the whole time I had zero doubts my kids were in great hands! They were beyond patient and understanding with my 4 year old behaviors. He got very upset during the exam and they handled it with professionalism and kindness! I'm so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews and gave them a chance. 10/10! I recommend them 100%! Thank you!

When i was a baby my parents were told i had strabismus and needed immediate corrective surgery. Dr. Gold performed my surgery when I was 8 months old. That was 18 years ago and I still go to see Dr. Gold. Even when i was younger and would cry because of getting my eyes dilated or being at the doctors office Dr. Gold and his staff would try their hardest to make me laugh. Using things like dancing pigs and sesame street character puppets always made my visits a happy experience. Dr. Gold is a very friendly ophthalmologist and truly cares for his patients. I wouldn’t trust anyone else as my eye doctor.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr Gold since she was a child and she continues to see him as a young adult. Her eye condition is a bit complicated and it took a few tries to find someone that could understand it. Not only did Dr Gold figure out how to address it, but he has also patiently explained the situation to us over the years. He has also performed two successful operations to correct her alignment. I am exceptionally grateful to Dr Gold for many years of wonderful care for my daughter!

I just had my 2nd visit with Dr Gold and I am so happy I was referred to him - all of a sudden I was seeing double vision and I was scared to death. From setting up the initial appointment to meeting Dr Gold and his staff everything was above excellent. I was treated like I was an old friend of theirs -they put me right at ease, did very precise procedures and Dr Gold diagnosed my problem and found a corrective solution. I never felt rushed, everyone listened to me - very rare in today's hurry up society. All the patients who I spoke to in the waiting area and who previously had Dr. Gold had nothing but praise for him - the staff's attitude with children was a 10+ . Highly recommend him!

Dr. Robert Gold is a friendly, caring, and empathic ophthalmologist in the Orlando area. He took care of my daughter’s eye surgery needs and doubtlessly did a great job. Most importantly, he took all fears away from the teenager’s mind to get her to the surgery table by creating a rapport through talking to her on her level. Great skills as a person and as a physician. Big kudos to Dr. Gold and his team 👏👏👏

Over the last few years, I have taken my son with special needs to several different eye doctors to try to figure out what is up with his eyes. Each doctor provided a different diagnosis with a completely different solution - including invasive eye drops, patching and surgery. I never felt comfortable with any of the exams, as my son is fairly difficult to communicate with, so I kept searching for answers while his eyes worsened. I was nervous to go to Dr. Gold because of the negative reviews, but I was beyond impressed with our visit. He was very comfortable and patient with my son and for the first time ever, I felt confident he got a good reading during the exam. This is our 3rd pair of glasses, and the only ones my son has ever worn - so they actually work. Thanks Dr. Gold.
