I had a horrendous experience with this doctor. He was incredibly rude and condescending. He wouldn’t allow me to speak and explain why I was there or the eye problems I was having. He turned my questions back around on me and ended up blaming me for my eye problems, which is nonsensical because I’m experiencing an eye-muscle issue. He even blamed me for something he overlooked in my medical record chart and accused me of not telling him things. He called his assistant in to read it for him, he confirmed that the information was indeed there, and he rolled his eyes and never apologized to me. He was the least helpful medical professional I have ever dealt with. He prescribed me glasses and I asked if he thought that might help with xyz and he says “I have absolutely no idea what will or won’t help you.” Isn’t that his job?! I can get through someone who doesn’t have good bedside manner if he or she is a fantastic and thorough physician, but this was an absolute dumpster fire.

My appointment for my baby that we waited for several months was cancelled when we showed up. The office wouldn't reschedule and told us to call back though we were present at the office. We called the next day and were told that the next available would be July nearly 2 months later. Joshua said my baby wasn't essential to be seen and was going to hang up I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said she wasn't available and hung up on me.

I can not recommend him enough! Excellent Pediatric opthalmologist. We drive 45 minutes out of our way just to see him. Understanding and patient. Sensitive and knowledgeable on the most up to date information.

Our 7 month old baby had esotropia. I say had, because Dr. Hered performed surgery to correct it and our child not only has straight eyes that work together, but his vision improvements are so extraordinary that his happiness levels are higher than we thought possible, a side effect we are happy to enjoy with him. We knew his future ability to see with binocular vision would be vastly improved the earlier we were able to have the surgery done, but never thought that it would make him happier, because he was a happy baby before the surgery. We were initially very scared of the surgery. Dr. Hered's experience, professionalism and exceptional bedside manner left us with minimal concern regarding the decision that he was the right doctor to perform the procedure. After getting over our fears of the surgery process and moving forward, we could not be happier with our decision. Our child sees the world with new eyes. We can't thank Dr. Hered enough for his dedication to his practice.

Dr.Hered provided excellent care for my 9 month old. He has strabismis (crossed eyes) and we were told surgery was the best option. Dr. Hered performed musuclar sugery on his eyes and our baby is looking at the world in a whole new way! As parents we couldn't be happier.

I called to make an appt for my son who is on medicaid because he is diasbaled and I was told they take medicaid but are not taking new medicaid patients now. They refused to let me pay cash for an exam because he has medicaid. So now I am having a difficult time finding a pediatric eye dr in orlando. I know my son has a lazy eye. But this place REFUSES to help.

Dr.Hered is a wounderful doctor for children. I know he took care of me for many years. He also was the first doctor ever found my eye problem.
