List of Angelo J. Babbo's Reviews
Super nice doctor! Takes his time to explain things to you and just has a great bedside manner. I stumbled upon him because he happened to take my insurance and so glad that I did. I highly recommend him!
So pleased with the care received
Did not test my child for strep related PANDAS, though he was diagnosed without, but labeled him OCD and wanted him sent to psych. I thought he'd be able ally for autism, since he's got a close relative with it, but he's farmed to Big Pharma. Not a good listener since my son improved on PANDAS treatment. He "knew better".
Very compassionate sn takes his time an explains everything
Does not return calls or online connect messages. Takes weeks and then multiple reminders for refills and other medical issues. No follow up after test results come back.
He was the doctor on duty, the night saw him. He explained what he thought it was as faxed in the prescription.
Not only he does not show too much knowledge but he also did not return calls and messages.
I stumbled upon Dr. Babbo when I could not get an appointment with my regular doctor at the Glenview office. After the first appointment, I immediately changed to him as my primary care physician. My husband, who never wants to go to the doctor, is a convert as well. Dr. Babbo listens to your concerns and tries to get to the bottom of your problems and issues. If he can't do it, he without hesitation refers you to a specialist ( I have HMO IL and I have known other docs that hesitate with referrals). He won't let insurance companies limit his quest for getting the patient better. Even when he is at the end of the visit, he will say, "Anything else?" just to make sure you did not forget to mention any other problems. He does run behind with appointments but that is only because he wants to make sure he does not miss anything. Now he left this practice and I have been there and tried a few docs and just am not happy. I need to find a new primary care doctor.
I have seen some knuckleheads for basic medical issues (sports injuries, plantar warts and, embarrassed to admit, hemmerhoids) . My problem with most doctors is that if you do any research or claim to "know your own body" they become insulted, as if you are telling them how to do their job when, in reality, you are coming to them for help because you know that they can work with you, not independent from you, in solving your health issues. This doctor is so down to earth, so cool, and so compassionate that I was shocked. I chose him for his title (DO versus dreaded MDs) and for his reviews. I am so happy I did. I learned so much about a laundry list of issued I was misdiagnosed with by incompetent MDs, or never sought treatment for because of my disdain, even fear of, MDs. This man, in my view, is the very embodiment of quality healthcare, living and practicing the Hippocratic oath he swore to. I probably sound nuts but I'm just so happy that the practice of medicine isn't filled completely with opportunists and know-it-all jerks. Thanks doc!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
