Dr. Spence and staff at Panhandle have taken great care of my mother Mary Dot who will be 91 in February 2019. Everyone in his office are courteous and caring. Couldn’t find a better doctor in Marianna.

I have been going to Dr. Spence for several years now and I have to say he's one of the best! As a patient with multiple medical problems (a couple of them rare or unique!) Dr. Spence has been the one who has gained my confidence and loyalty by treating me with the latest procedures, techniques and medications relating to each of my physical problems. If he can't explain what is going on with me medically when I call on him, he wastes no time trying to find out and help me even if he has to refer me to other specialists. His nurse, Karen, is another plus in his medical practice. If she tells me she is going to do something, I can depend on it being done without having to call back and check on it. They are both very knowledgeable and professional but they also know when I need their personal compassion or sense of humor to be thrown in the mix when they are having to deal with my situations. I would trust Dr. Spence with my life and recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Spence's nurse (Karen) is great. The office staff is helpful and friendly. Dr. Spence himself is personable, funny, sometimes irreverent. He's a very good doctor and responds best if you go in knowing what you want from the experience and make your own wishes clear. I wouldn't go to another doctor unless I had no other choice. That said, I don't think he'd be a good doctor to anyone who expects their doctor to be 100% boring and professional. Neither would I recommend him to someone who has trouble expressing their own needs or opinions. If you have trouble being clear or straightforward with health professionals, find a different doctor. Dr. Spence has been my doctor for about 5 years and I am satisfied with our interactions, and he never fails to make me feel better just from his personality.

His nurse is helpful and sweet, but the office staff is rude and unprofessional. Dr. Spence is motivated by money first, and has a horrible bedside manner.
