Dr. Starr is a caring, knowledgeable doctor. He listens and explains things well and truly cares about his patient's health.
Great service. So personable and patient.
Dr. Starr is rude, condescending, and uncaring. As a new patient he will be attentive to your concerns but the longer you are his patient, the less he will listen to your healthcare needs. I had been a loyal patient (since 2018) until recently when his office strung me along for 4 weeks on a very simple issue that should have been resolved when I came in for my appointment initially. I am extremely disappointed in how I was treated by his office and hope he does not treat others how I was treated.
This is a warning to all of you who use Dr. Daniel Starr whose office is on Devereux in Melbourne, FL. In March when I tried to make an appointment to see him, I was told that I would not be able to see him until April. After a simple google search, I have discovered that Dr. Starr is moonlighting as a hospitalist at North Naples FL hospital. Perhaps he will leave his practice entirely soon, but if not, you should expect the receptionist at his Melbourne office to schedule you with an NP that is working there now. Don't expect Dr. Starr. Just a heads up. And... I will miss Dr. Starr, as I have since found an alternative primary doctor in the area.
Poor bedside manner. Did not listen to my concerns, likes the sound of his own voice.
Extremely poor bedside manner. Ridiculous wait time on labs/office communication/appointments.
Thought he be more, concerned about our health? And listen to us, we do know our bodies?
I was told by my specialist that I needed to see my PC due to extremely high blood pressure. So I made an appointment to see Dr. Starr and was scheduled to see Julie Starr. When I came to the office I was refused service because I had a bill (that I never got) that was due. I was not in the position to pay on it at the time because this was an emergency appointment. Mrs. Starr still refused to see me I ended up going to a fire station to get my BP checked and it was so high that it was life threatening and ended up going to the ER. So now I am having to pay 10x the amount I would have if the doctor would had seen me. I will never be coming back to this office the way they treated me was unprofessional they never told me when I called to make the appointment I had a balance or anything. The doctor allowed me to leave her office and drive away with a life threatening BP that if something were to have happened me or someone else on the road could have been hurt. I believe that Julie Starr should have her license taken away and she should never be allowed to practice medicine again. I will be going to all the medical review boards with this information as well. I can say anytime I come see Dr. Daniel Starr he has been great and he really cares about his patients. Julie Starr on the other hand cares more about her money then the well being of others.

After being mistreated by a lot of doctors, this one, Daniel Starr, treated me like a human with a brain. I know exactly what it is I need, and what dosages, and doctor Starr treated this knowledge happily and gave me advice and instruction where the gaps in my knowledge did not suffice. He has great bedside manner, and I don't have to fear going to the doctor anymore, or be anxious about getting what I want and it's pretty great.

Dr. Starr takes the time to listen to and address patient concerns. He runs all appropriate tests and keeps you updated on what he is going to do every step of the way. Staff was very professional, medical assistant was very efficient!! Dr Starr personally called me (doesn’t happen often these days) and let me know the results to my blood work over the phone. This was comforting to me and shows that he is dedicated to the health of his patients! I’m very happy my mom recommended Dr. Starr! Definitely a genuine, trustworthy guy. Thank you Dr. Starr!
Extremely rude whenever he feels the need, does not take care of prior authorizations at all let alone in a prompt manner, very judgmental and prejudiced based on appearances.

I can only echo what the other reviewers say about Dr. Starr. My wife has had diabetes for several years now and had no success in finding someone to treat her without over-medicating her. Then we found Dr. Starr. He does a through exam and carefully listens to his patients. He then presented several options and discussed the pros and cons of each. He allowed my wife to decide what she wanted to try next. He explained everything in language we could understand. He was up on the current developments in the field and answered all of our concerns. I thought so highly of Dr. Starr and his commitment to his patients, I called the office the next day and said I'd like him to be my physician too. He is the doctor that we have been searching for and never seemed able to find. God bless Dr. Starr and his office staff.
