Ellen Altenburg Md's Online Review Report Card

Today I took my daughter to her first appointment with Dr. Altenburg, and it was the first appoiintment she’s had where I felt fully at ease. My daughter is extremely frightened by medical equipment and screams and cries through her appointments, from the second she sees a stethoscope until the moment we step out the door. At her previous pediatrician, while no one said anything, I could feel everyone’s frustration. There was always tension in the room. Today the nurse, Dr. Altenburg, and the receptionist at checkout seemed completely unfazed by my daughter’s meltdown. They maintained smiles on their faces and continued speaking to me as if it was a normal part of their day. As my daughter screamed and cried about wanting to leave, rather than seeming rattled, the doctor pointed out her advanced speech and focused on the positive. I initially only made an appointment at this office because it seemed to be my quickest option for getting my daughter the covid vaccine, but despite being a half hour further than my previous pediatrician, I will continue to take my daughter to see Dr. Altenburg. Her compassion, patience, and sense of humor have me absolutely sold. One note, I do wish there was a mask requirement! I know I’m likely in the minority on that feedback.

So thankful for Dr. Altenburg vaccinating my youngest with the Moderna Covid vaccine today. What a wonderful doctor with a positive attitude. It is such a relief to have my youngest fully vaccinated before preschool starts. A huge thank you to all the friendly office staff and nurses at OMNI Healthcare as well for helping us protect our kids.

Recently moved to the area and scheduled yearly check for our daughter. The staff was so nice and helpful! Dr. Altenburg was very professional and kind. She also gave us some great names of dentists and eye doctors in the area.

Amazing pediatrician. She’s patient, kind, listens to parents concerns AND she’s fun. My son loved her!

Dr. Altenburg is the most compassionate, caring and well educated pediatrician in our area (especially on current issues affecting our children!!!) . She has a great sense of humor and my kids love her for that!!! She remembers things about them that makes them feel special at each appointment. She is very thorough and TRULY concerned about the well being of her patients. She has been our pediatrician for more than 7 years!! We have switched insurance plans just to ensure our children still have her for their doctor. She is very concerned about the health of her patients, right down to safety in the waiting room. We would give her 10 stars if they were allowed!!

Absolutely love Dr. Altenburg! Always has an awesome bedside manner and patient. Always willing to listen and answer questions.

I have been taking my kids here for 15 years and love her and so do my kids! She’s very thorough and always puts the kids first.

Have been with Dr. Altenburg for almost 8 years. She cares for both my kids and we love her. She has treated them for everything and anything. Anytime we need her she is always there even when we overreact. The kids actually love going to see her. Couldn't imagine kids going anywhere else.

Dr. Altenburg is the absolute best! both of my daughters see her. Myself and my brothers were also her patients as kids. She really takes the time to go over everything with you and answer any questions.

My daughter has been with Dr Altenburg since 2013. She is absolutely the best pediatrician! She is amazing with my autistic daughter. Her office is clean & runs so smoothly. I never feel rushed. Always a wonderful experience!
