Had to have another neck surgery to correct his work!

Dr. Matuk has apparently retired. My Insurance Navigator & I just called his Office & the woman who answered the phone told my Navigator that Dr. Matuk had retired. My Navigator asked “Mary” if the New Neurosurgeon took my PPO Plan to which MARY replied that he did NOT. My Navigator then asked MARY if she could recommend another Neurosurgeon that possibly took my Insurance. MARY replied,” NO! That’s YOUR JOB!” & HUNG UP ON BOTH OF US! My Navigator called MARY back to let her know that her behavior was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE & THAT SHE (MARY) was extremely unprofessional! MARY said that they are getting 20 calls per day from My Insurance Company & she was tired of it (?)!! My Navigator asked to speak with a Supervisor to which MARY REPLIED, “We don’t have a Supervisor!” My Navigator then asked if she could speak with someone else! MARY SAID THAT SHE WAS THE ONLY EMPLOYEE (?)! She then Hung Up on us again!

Very thorough surgeon explained my problems very well and reviewed my MRI in layman terms and his report was fantastic. Recommend a good spine surgeon I highly recommend my Habibi to anyone who has nerve pain

He’s incredible. I thought i was heading for neck surgery. My family Dr already had the pre-op done. I went to see him and after an hour diagnosed me with a rare condition that I don’t need surgery. It could be the first time he’s ever seen it since he was reading about in a blurb in one of many medical books. If you care about your health, you go see him. His office staff is sweeter than pecan pie with vanilla ice cream.

Excellent doctor. Dr. Matuk took the time to explain everything to me about my surgery. He listened to my questions and my concerns. He is very kind and caring. I highly recommend him as a neurosurgeon. Also, the ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful.

Hired gun by insurance companies to dismiss injury claims.

Rather abrupt in manner but takes time to clearly explain issues and side effects. Does not push surgery as a cure-all. Clean office, cheerful staff, no wait. Would highly recommend.

Refused to write an order for rehab (insurance had already agreed to authorize) for an 83 year old patient who needed assistance (that family could not provide) after a carpel tunnel surgery on her right wrist, because as his staff stated ‘he didn’t want to follow her” in rehab.
