Dr Freels saved my life when other “specialist physicians” were just going to send me home. My final diagnosis was aortic dissection which kills 40% of patients in the first 24 hrs. He caught cardiologists and other heart doctors to have me further checked out.. I am forever indebted to Dr. Kevin Freels.. update… when I went back to thank him personally he literally teared up and gave me the biggest bear hug.. I hope all doctors learn from this human.

This physician is wonderful. I was quite freaked out after my first ambulance ride and he was exactly who I needed to reassure and calm me down. Funny, kind, personable, knowledgeable. Cannot say enough good things. Thanks you, Dr. Freels!

Dr Freels was nothing short of amazing. Had to bring my parents to Melbourne Regional Hospital on Christmas Eve due to Covid complications; his calm caring demeanor helped put us all at ease right away. My senior parents received great care and were able to leave the hospital to continue their recovery. Dr Freels and the entire staff at Melbourne Regional were wonderful and very compassionate.

Outstanding ER experience. Dr Freels and staff were incredible in addressing a seriously misaligned broken arm for our 11 year old son. Immediately relieved his pain, consulted with orthopedist, set and then splinted arm. The entire staff’s confidence and compassion were just what was needed to calm an 11 year old and his parents.

Dr. Freels was so good to me in the ER today. He listened to me and helped me to relax. He sat down in the chair and talked to me instead of hovering like most doctors do. When he sat down to talk to me it instantly put my mind at ease. I was doubting the reason why I went to the ER and both Dr. Freel and the Nurse assured me that I shouldn’t have doubted myself. Melbourne Regional and their staff are excellent.

My son had an appointment with Dr. Freels and we were both surprised by the experience. Dr. Freels took the time to talk to my son and get to know him as a person first and then as a patient. He made my son and I feel like family. I can say God has blessed this man to care for others.
