List of Larry J Landry Md's Reviews
Great doc. I was his patient, but he retired as of 30 Jan 2020.
I liked Dr Landry. Ted Roeser
I recently had a very high PSA reading with a high 4Kscore, and it was recommended that I have a prostate biopsy. I received several recommendations to go to Dr. Landry, and I'm so glad I did. He was very professional and also very personable. He answered all my, and my wife's questions at the consultation. At the biopsy, Shaun, the ultrasonographer, told me exactly what was going to happen and assured me that it would be painless. Thanks Shaun! You were right! Dr. Landry then took several samples and the procedure was over. The next week Dr. Landry went over the results with me and my wife and again answered all of our questions and made a follow up app't. Thanks again Dr Landry, Shaun and the whole staff. Truly professionals!!

Over $500 for a 15 minute chat that only put a name on my symptoms. Could have found that on Google. There was no cure and no symptom improvement. After on-line research, found more info than from him. Had to postpone follow up due to travel, next appointment 2 months later. After this and reading other reviews, I'm going elsewhere
AWFUL, go anywhere else. I spent 3 months being mistreated by Dr Landry in early 2018. On my first visit his front office was top-notch. At my next visit they were all gone, and so was all semblance of professionalism. I ended up in urgent care because he refused to prescribe antibiotics for a recurring infection. The man should retire, he cares more about billable procedures than patients health.
If this review stops just one person from going to see Dr. Landry, it will be well worth the time spent on submitting it. He is very coldhearted and doesn’t listen to his patients. It is obvious that he doesn’t care. After being in pain for almost a year, he had no desire to try to figure out why I was having the problems. Thankfully, I went to another urologist and he immediately found my source of pain and the solution to making me feel better.
Prostate procedure left me in consideable pain for 2 months. Dr. Landry's response was a standarderized 'canned' reply.
First visit by referral from my primary. Landry did not make a good first impression. Explained away the major concerns for seeing in the first place. I know my own body better than Landry and when I say something is wrong and why, this info should be considered seriously! Not tossed aside because I'm not a doctor! Just hope I can get another doctor in time!
Sometimes you swing and you miss with doctors. That's what happened to me with this one. He has the usual old person doctor that he knows better than his patients, and does not care to listen to them. I will support that, he will not have to listen to me explain why the medicine he is prescribing will not work for me, since I've already tried it. In fact, he won't have to listen to me again Being 40 minutes late for the appointment and no apology at all didn't help.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
