UPDATE: Dr. Lopez thinks I should thank her for referring me to another type of specialist. Had she actually reviewed my chart as closely as she is claiming, she would have seen that I have seen an allergist for most of my life and they have all determined that my hives are not an allergy, but an autoimmune response. It was an allergist who referred me to my original rheumatologist. She also would have seen that I have a highly elevated ANA and tested positive for an autoimmune condition. Do yourself a favor and seek treatment from a doctor who is actually thorough rather than one who just claims to be! At the age of 8 I started breaking out in inexplicable hives that resulted in severe swelling in my hands and feet accompanied by rash and severe itching. The doctors had no idea what was causing the problem and instead chose to treat the symptoms. It wasn't until my late 20s when I finally got a diagnosis of a rare autoimmune condition. I was successfully treated for it for 20 years by various rheumatologists over the years. I sought out Dr. Lopez Lopez when my previous doctor moved away. She met with me once, told me that she had never heard of my condition, and it didn't exist so I didn't need to see her again. Rather than research my condition and educate herself about the rare condition that has plagued me my entire life, she decided to discount its existence altogether. I will NEVER recommend her to any patient in need of rheumatological care. She didn't order a single blood test or even review the very lengthy reports of previous blood work before deciding that my condition is made up.

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. I TOLD HER I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND HER WITH A MASK, AN ACCENT AND I WAS ALMOST DEAF. I ASK HER IF SHE COULD SPEAK SLOWER AND SHE BEGAN TO SCREAM AT ME UNTIL MY HEARING AIDS FELT THE VIBRATIONS. THIS VISIT LEFT ME IN TEARS. I CAN'T IN GOOD FAITH RECOMMEND HER.

I thank God for Dr Lòpez 🙏 she is one of a kind .

All of the office staff are excellent! Very professiona,mannerly, and efficient. Doctor Lopez is great. Sometimes she's in too big of a hurry. I feel a little rushed with my visit.

When I asked a question in response to her telling me of the test results. Without saying a word, she stood up and walked out of the room. She was done. I only asked why would my other Doctor prescribe a medication if the results of the tests you ( her) just said were negative . Instead of saying, you don't understand what I mean or what I said, she just stood up and walked out of the room without a word. So I DO have an autoimmune disease which I now understand and she was willing to blow me off for misunderstanding her statement. That's not professional.

My medical records reveal this doctor as an outright liar who contradicts her own notes! She is rude, condesending, patronizing, dismissive, disparaging and rushed! She blamed and even tried to punish me for her own incompetency! I lost all confidence in her judgement and opinions after reading my records and experiencing her unprofessionalism in person that day. Her office misplaced my blood wk brought in from the week prior. After she accused me of not doing it at all, she claimed it was months old but then finally retrieved the correct results. From that point on her behavior got worse and 3x she accused me of going over my 15 minute appt. time and throwing her off of her routine. How? My 1 p.m. appt. earnestly began at about 1:35 and I'm back in my car by 1:47. But worst of all she made an independent decision to put me on a drug being fully aware that I was being treated for an infection and, a lifelong smoker making it not recommended for me. Thanks doc!

The office staff is very nice. I am so greatful that I found Dr. Lopez she has been amazing. She listened to my concerns and was very thorough, not quick to do medicine until she new exactly what we were treating. Very professional and knowledgeable.

If you are looking for a competent, caring and compassionate rheumatologist, then I suggest you avoid Dr. Lopez. If, however, you are looking for an arrogant, condescending, self-absorbed doctor who doesn't care about you as a patient and gets angry if you even dare to ask a question then I highly recommend Dr. Lopez -- I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

She was unprepared for my initial visit, advised me that she over time would get to know my case (my RA previously well managed by my retired Dr). Dismissed my concerns and condescending & patronizing. Poor to no follow up on my request for referral. My Phone calls to office not returned for weeks. Office staff in reception not welcoming or helpful.

Dr. Lopez was able to diagnose my condition when several other rheumatologists were not. She is compassionate and thorough in her examination and review of records.
