MIchael Pikos's Online Review Report Card

In my opinion Dr. Pikos is the best oral surgeon there is. I had a previous implant by a dentist that destroyed the area after he removed a horribly ugly implant he had done. Dr. Pikos resued me and I now have my smile back. It was a long process and he was very attentive and patient. He took the time needed for success. If considering an implant only use the BEST!

Dr. Pikos is brilliant! His exceptional bedside manner put me at ease and it was very easy for me to trust him with my care during my Implant Reconstruction Surgery which went much better than I expected. I had very little pain and swelling afterward and didn't even use the full prescription that was given. Dr. Pikos and his staff are truly the best around! I highly recommend his services, you'll be in very good hands. 1/9/22 Dr. Pikos is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of me during my Implant Reconstruction Surgery, but also during annual follow up appointments. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of dental care. I highly recommend becoming his patient!

It starts at the front desk: terrible welcome and totally out of touch with client's needs. Was referred by Seven Springs dental, a solid and well managed dental office. Was sent to Dr. Pikos with all needed paperwork, x-rays etc... but they opted to still want to take x-rays and charge for a consult when the referral was crystal clear in terms of my needs: a simple tooth extraction. My suggestion: find another endodontist, exactly what I did and not a penny shed on this practice !

The staff at Coastal Jaw Surgery is amazing! Dr. Hedger and Dr. Pikos are both amazing. They are very personable and put the needs of their patients first. The entire experience was as pleasant as could be expected. It is very clear to see that they enjoy making a positive impact in their patient’a lives. They have given me the confidence that I have longed to have throughout my adult life. At 40, I finally have the smile that I should have had throughout my adult life. I cannot thank them enough.

Dr. Pikos is THE BEST!!! Over 30 years ago I broke my jaw and he wired my jaw shut for (I think) 8 weeks (over the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays) - so needless to say I lost weight. HA! He was the most caring, gentle and professional dentist and I would recommend him to anyone. A co-worker recently told me she was going to him and I told her she was in the best of hands. Kathy

This review is based in several encounters with Dr. Pikos, a many months long process of having my mouth completely restored with dental implants. Dr. Pikos’ extreme attention to detail and his insistence in use best practices, likely heads the list of the many accolades I give this Surgeon and it is reflected throughout his entire practice, Coastal Jaw Surgery. I have received caring and best jn class care throughout my implant process, there were some twists and minor complications that needed to be addresses, stretching my recovery time a bit. In all cases, Dr. Pikos and his staff remained calm, and fully explained the process of what needed to done for optimal outcomes. Importantly, Dr. Pikos really cares about his patients and is very empathetic as he delivers needed care. I cannot recommend this professional and his entire staff enough!!

Dr. Pikos is always teaching the current concepts that I can use everyday to help me give my patients the best Dentistry I can give. Every course I take is always a great learning experience!

The staff and Dr. Pikos were great, the equipment appears to be state of the art and my consultation and extraction / implant insertion went much better than I expected, I had very little pain and swelling afterward which was managed with over the counter pain meds and ice. I especially appreciated the tracking sheet to make note of the meds taken and as someone who works in Behavioral health that the sheet clearly explained the dangers of using oxycodone if prescribed. I will recommend Dr. Pikos and Coastal Jaw Surgery to others.

Dr.hedger and Dr.pikos and the whole staff is absolutely amazing. They make the experience so comfortable and just all in all great. I enjoy my visits... the whole staff at costal is great and couldn't ask for more.
